Abstract

The invention relates to a needle holder (1) comprising a needle receptacle (2), with a needle fixing device (4) detachably fixed to the needle holder (1) on the inside of the needle receptacle (2) via an anchoring (12, 15a, 15b). Said needle fixing device serves to hold a needle (5) and/or an adapter (32) for placing on a needle. The needle (5) and/or the adapter (32) can be fastened from outside via an opening inside the needle holder (1) in the needle fixing device (4). The needle holder also comprises an unlocking mechanism (6) for releasing the needle (5) and/or the adapter (32) after use in such a manner that the needle fixing device (4), after releasing an anchoring (13, 15a, 15b) with the held needle (5) or with the held adapter (32), falls into the needle receptacle (2). In order stabilize the needle held inside the needle fixing device, at least one supporting element (18, 19) for stabilizing the needle fixing device (4) in the needle receptacle (2) is provided on the needle fixing device (4).
