Abstract

An apparatus includes, but is not limited to a key, a lock, said lock including a shape memory alloy, said lock being configured to change shape when it transfers energy, said lock being configured to exert a first force on the key, and a retainer, said retainer being configured to exert a second force on the key that opposes the first force.
