Abstract

The invention relates to a self-adhesive protective strip comprising tile-type rigid laminae for protecting surfaces or body parts. The elastic layer below the tiles distributes the applied force over a larger surface. The protective strip can be cut out in the form of a plaster and protects from light impact bruises, cuts, and grazes.

Various types of self-adhesive tapes are known for covering surfaces, for example

For example, shin guards for soccer consist of a completely stiff upper shell with a soft cushioning layer underneath.

Common to the above-mentioned "local shock absorbers" that they were integrated into a product, thus only for a body size can be used and accordingly many product sizes must be made.

The invention claims to combine the above protective properties (impact and cut injuries and avoidance of abrasions) and to supplement the feature of the removable or solid application by means of a pressure-sensitive adhesive or other connecting elements in the form of a tape.

The freedom of movement of the surface located under the protective tape is hardly limited because of the elastic arrangement of the tiles.

The following combinations of a tape with protective tiles can be presented.

2) Tiles with elastic interlayer a. and head-side attachment layer b. with bottom-side attachment layer c. double-sided fixing layer Usage:

Patch Tape: A human applicable product application as a protective patch is shown in FIG. The tape can be cut to size like a plaster bandage (adhesive tape) and applied to areas of the skin which are to be protected, e.g. to be glued over the ankles.

G. Arrangement of a protective tape According to claim 2, with tiles (1a), connected by means of a pressure-sensitive adhesive (2a) to an elastic intermediate layer (3). This in turn is provided with a fixing layer (eg the pressure-sensitive adhesive (4a)), which connects the protective tape to the surface to be protected.

For example, the intermediate layer (3) consists of from an elastic gel, such as a silicone castings or polyurethane gel or from an elastic foam, generally substances that can be compressed by force.

The tiles, sunk here in the elastic intermediate layer, offer a closed surface and are therefore particularly advantageous in terms of hygiene or even surface. As a manufacturing process would be about a complete foaming of the tiles with a foam in question. A separate gluing omitted.

ErläuAblösbare tiles are particularly useful when using the protective tape in the manner of a taut adhesive tape. The tiles, if desired only at selected locations, can be easily peeled off by the user. If, for example, several layers of the protective tape are laid one on top of the other in the manner of a bandage, the tiles would otherwise form thick layers and form rigid multiple layers. If the tiles are removed beforehand, the stabilizing effect of the bandage can be combined with the partial protective effect of the tiles.

This arrangement with a discontinuous layer (3a) offers the possibility of respiration (11) of the body towards the garment. A continuous layer 3 prevents this.

An additional attachment on the head side of the strap is useful when attaching to the inside of garments. If the arrangement between the stocking and the foot is the same, the taut stocking would prevent the tiled composite from moving back and forth. The Velcro (5c), however, should be such that his barbs can get caught in the material of the stocking. An adhesive layer (5a), however, should connect to the fibers of the sock. A detachable connection is sought.

Claims

claims

1) tape for protecting an object or a surface from mechanical influences, characterized in that it consists of tiles, which are equipped on at least one side with a fixing layer.
