Abstract

The present invention relates to a disposable napkin which receives the thumb and finger(s) of a user to grip and hold a piece of chicken, pizza or the like, to prevent oil from reaching the hand. The disposable napkin comprises: a material with a plurality of gripping parts; and pocket parts formed to be respectively attached to the gripping parts of the material while having a predetermined space, along each gripping part. The user grips and holds food by using the gripping parts of the disposable napkin while keeping the thumb and fmger(s) in the pocket parts, thereby preventing oil from reaching the hand when gripping and holding greasy foods, such as pizza, chicken or the like, and making it convenient and easy to use the napkin.

Description

A DISPOSABLE NAPKIN
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a disposable napkin and, in particular, a disposable napkin which receives the thumb and finger(s) of a user to grip and hold a piece of chicken, pizza or the like.
Background Art
Generally, napkins are divided into fabric napkins and disposable paper napkins. The fabric napkin is usually used to be attached to the front top position of clothes of a user to protect his/her clothes while the user is eating in a restaurant or home. The disposable paper napkin is usually used to wipe a user's mouth when eating. The disposable napkins used at home or in a restaurant are folded in a regular square and held in a napkin holder to be provided for use. Conventional disposable napkins are standardized in shape and usually used to wipe a user's mouth after eating. The conventional disposable napkins are used to grip and hold greasy foods, such as pizza, chicken or the like. However, when a user grips and holds a piece of pizza, chicken or the like using the convention disposable napkin, there is the inconvenience that the user needs to use both hands to cover the conventional disposable napkin to grip and hold the piece of pizza, chicken or the like. Moreover, even though a user uses a paper napkin, her/his hands are stained with oil from the chicken, pizza or the like. Disclosure of Invention
Therefore, it is an object of the present invention to provide a disposable napkin which enables a user to easily grip and hold a piece of pizza, chicken or the like by one hand and which prevents oil from reaching the hand after use. A disposable napkin according to the present invention to realize the above- described object of the present invention comprises: a material with a plurality of gripping parts; and pocket parts formed to be respectively attached to the gripping parts of the material while having a predetermined space therebewteen, and a user uses the disposable napkin to grip and hold food by using the gripping parts while keeping the user's thumb and fmger(s) in the pocket parts.
A disposable napkin according to the present invention to realize the above- described object of the present invention comprises: a material with a plurality of gripping parts; pocket parts formed to be respectively attached to the gripping parts of the material while having a predetermined space therebewteen; and an oilproof material preventing oil from passing through an outer or inner side of the material, and a user uses the disposable napkin to grip and hold food by using the gripping parts while keeping the user's thumb and finger(s) in the pocket parts.

A disposable napkin according to the present invention to realize the above- described object of the present invention comprises: a material with a pair of gripping parts and with a number of folding lines formed at predetermined intervals on its surface; and pocket parts formed to be respectively attached to the gripping parts while having a predetermined space, and a user uses the disposable napkin to grip and hold food by using the gripping parts while keeping the thumb and the index finger in the pocket parts, respectively.
Advantageous Effects The disposable napkin according to the present invention as described above is used as a tool to grip and hold greasy foods, such as pizza, chicken or the like, so that a user sanitarily and conveniently uses the disposable napkin.
Furthermore, the disposable napkin according to the present invention prevents oil from reaching the hand of a user from greasy foods, such as pizza, chicken, or the like, so that a user does not need to wash hands after eating.

Best Mode for Carrying out the Invention [Embodiment 1]
FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating a napkin according to a first embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 2 is a sectional view taken along line A-A of FIG. 1, and FIG. 3 is a plan view of the napkin according to the first embodiment of the present invention.
As illustrated in FIG. 1, the napkin according to the first embodiment of the present invention comprises: a material 10 including gripping parts 12, and a plurality of pocket parts 20 formed to be respectively attached to the gripping parts 12 of the material 10 and to be respectively formed in the size to receive the thumb and finger(s) of a user. The material 10 is composed of paper or vinyl which does not allow oil to pass through, which is easily changed in shape and which is harmless to a human body.
As illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2, a number of folding lines 14 are formed on the surface of the material 10. When the material 10 is used to grip and hold food, the folding lines 14 enable the material 10 to be folded in a predetermined shape. A plurality of embossed protrusions 16 are formed on the inner side of the gripping parts 12. The embossed protrusions 16 prevent the thumb and finger(s) from sliding. As illustrated in FIG. 2, the embossed protrusions 16 are made, by casting the material 10 in a mold to form the separated embossed protrusions and corresponding recessions. That is, the gripping parts 12 of the material 10 are molded by the mold, so that the embossed protrusions 16 are formed on the front surface on which the pocket parts are formed of the material and the recessions are formed on the back surface of the material.
As illustrated in FIG. 3, each pocket part 20 includes an attachment part 22 with a predetermined width formed along its outer edge. Each attachment part 22 is attached to an outer edge surface of each gripping part 12. The pocket parts are spaced from the surface of the material 10, to respectively receive the thumb and fmger(s) of the user. Preferably, pocket parts 20 may be formed in a hemispherical shape in the whole appearance on the surface of the material 10. FIG. 4 is a view illustrating use of the napkin according to the first embodiment of the present invention.
As described in FIG. 4, the user easily grips and holds food, for example, a piece of chicken, by utilizing the gripping parts 12 while keeping the thumb, the index finger and the middle finger in the pocket parts 20, respectively and folding the napkin. In the constitution of the napkin according to the first embodiment of the present invention, the embossed protrusions 16 are formed in the inner side of the gripping parts 12, so that the user easily grips and holds greasy foods, such as chicken, pizza or the like, without sliding. [Embodiment 2] FIG. 5 is a perspective view illustrating a napkin according to a second embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 6 is a sectional view taken along line B-B of FIG. 5.
As illustrated in FIGS. 5 and 6, the napkin according to the second embodiment of the present invention comprises: a material 10 including gripping parts 12, a plurality of pocket parts 20 formed to be respectively attached to the gripping parts 12 of the material
10 and to be respectively formed in the size to receive the thumb and finger(s) of a user, and an oilproof material 30 to be attached to the back of the material 20. The material 10 is composed of paper, and the oilproof material 30 is composed of vinyl which is thin in thickness and harmless to a human body.
A number of folding lines 14 are formed on the surface of the material 10. Each pocket part 20 includes an attachment part 22 with a predetermined width formed along its outer edge. Each attachment part 22 is attached to an outer edge surface of each gripping part 12. The oilproof material 30 may be attached to the surface of the material 10 instead of the back of the material 10. Or the oilproof material 30 may be attached to the inner side of each pocket part 20. The inner side of each gripping part 12 may be formed with a plurality of embossed protrusions 16.
In the constitution of the napkin according to the second embodiment of the present invention, the material 10 and the oilproof material 30 are attached in a single body, so that oil is prevented from reaching the hand of a user when gripping and holding greasy foods. [Embodiment 3]
FIG. 7 is a perspective view illustrating a napkin according to a third embodiment of the present invention and is a modification of the napkin according to the second embodiment.
As illustrated in FIG. 7, the napkin according to the third embodiment of the present invention comprises: a material 10 including gripping parts 12, and a pocket part 20 formed to be attached to the gripping parts 12 of the material 10 to be formed in the size to receive the thumb and finger(s) of a user. As illustrated in FIG. 7, the pocket 20 is formed in a connected structure in a single body. The pocket part 20 includes an attachment part 22 with a predetermined width formed along its outer edge. The attachment part 22 is attached to an outer edge surface of the material 10. The technical characteristic of the napkin according to the third embodiment is in that the pocket part 20 attached to the gripping parts 12 of the material 10 is in the connected structure in the single body. The other constitution of the napkin according to the third embodiment is the same as that of the second embodiment. The pocket part 20 may be attached to the gripping parts 12 by an adhesive agent. Preferably, a pressing process may be applied, along the attachment part 22 of the pocket part 20.
In the constitution of the napkin according to the third embodiment of the present invention, the pocket part 30 attached to the gripping parts 12 of the material 10 is formed in the single body, so that the napkin is more easily manufactured, unlike the napkin according to the second embodiment. FIG. 8 is a perspective view illustrating a napkin according to a fourth embodiment of the present invention.
As illustrated in FIG. 8, the napkin according to the fourth embodiment of the present invention comprises: gripping parts 12 formed on both ends of a material 10 having an oval shape, a pair of pocket parts 20 formed to be respectively attached to the gripping parts 12 and to be respectively formed in the size to receive the thumb and the index finger of a user, and a number of folding lines 14 formed on the surface of the material 10. A plurality of the folding lines 14 are formed on the surface of the material 10 so that the material 10 is easily folded.
In the constitution of the napkin according to the fourth embodiment of the present invention, the pocket parts 20 are formed to respectively receive the thumb and the index finger so that the user easily grips and holds greasy foods, such as chicken, pizza or the like. [Embodiment 5]
FIG. 9 is a perspective view illustrating a napkin according to a fifth embodiment of the present invention and is a modification to the napkin according to the fourth embodiment.
As illustrated in FIG. 9, the napkin according to the fifth embodiment of the present invention comprises: gripping parts 12 formed on both ends of a material 10 having an oval shape, and a pair of pocket parts 20 formed to be respectively attached to the gripping parts 12 and to be respectively formed in the size to receive the thumb and the index finger of a user. A number of folding lines 14 are formed on the surface of the material 10. A plurality of the folding lines 14 are formed on the surface of the material 10 so that the material 10 is easily folded.
Unlike the napkin according to the fourth embodiment, in the napkin according to the fifth embodiment, the pocket part 20 to receive the index finger is larger in size than
the pocket part 20' to receive the thumb, and the material 10 has a "|_" shaped structure in
the whole appearance, so that a user easily grips and holds food. Preferably, the pocket parts 20 may be attached to the gripping parts 12 of the material 10 by an adhesive agent, and a pressing process may be applied, along attachment parts 22 of the pocket parts 20.
The present invention has been particularly shown and described with reference to exemplary embodiments thereof. It may, however, be embodied in many different forms without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention and should not be construed as being limited to the embodiments. For example, the material of the napkin has a triangle shape in the first, second and third embodiments of the present invention and an oval shape in the fourth and fifth embodiments, but it may be changed to have a square shape.
Industrial availability
The present invention relates to a disposable napkin which receives the thumb and finger(s) of a user to grip and hold greasy foods, such as a piece of chicken, pizza or the like.

Claims

What is claimed is:
1. A disposable napkin comprising: a material 10 with a plurality of gripping parts 12; and pocket parts 20 formed to be respectively attached to the gripping parts 12 of the material 10, each pocket part 20 having a predetermined space, along each gripping part 12, wherein a user grips and holds food by using the gripping parts 12 while keeping the thumb and finger(s) in the pocket parts 20.
2. The disposable napkin of claim 1, wherein the material 10 comprises folding lines 14 formed on its surface, so that the material 10 is folded in a predetermined shape.
3. The disposable napkin of claim 1, wherein the gripping parts 12 comprise a plurality of embossed protrusions 16 formed on their inner sides, along the surface, so that the thumb and fϊnger(s) are prevented from sliding.
4. The disposable napkin of any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the pocket parts 20 are formed to be spaced from the surface of the material 10.
5. The disposable napkin of claim 1, wherein the material 10 is composed of paper or vinyl which oil does not pass through and is easily changed in shape.
6. A disposable napkin comprising: a material 10 with a plurality of gripping parts 12; pocket parts 20 formed to be respectively attached to the gripping parts 12 of the material 10, each pocket part 20 having a predetermined space, along each gripping part 12; and an oilproof material 30 preventing oil from passing through an outer or inner side of the material 10, wherein a user grips and holds food by using the gripping parts 12 while keeping the thumb and fmger(s) in the pocket parts 20.
7. The disposable napkin of claim 6, wherein the material 10 comprises folding lines 14 formed on its surface, so that the material 10 is folded in a predetermined shape.
8. The disposable napkin of claim 6, wherein the gripping parts 12 comprise a plurality of embossed protrusions 16 formed on their inner sides, along the surface, so that the thumb and finger(s) are prevented from sliding.
9. The disposable napkin of any one of claims 6 to 8, wherein the pocket parts 20 are formed to be spaced from the surface of the material 10.

A disposable napkin comprising: a material 10 with a plurality of gripping parts 12; and a pocket part 20 formed to be attached to the gripping parts 12 of the material 10, the pocket part 20 having a predetermined space, along each gripping part 12, wherein the pocket part 20 is formed in a single body structure and attached, along each gripping part 12 of the material 10; and wherein a user grips and holds food by using the gripping parts 12 while keeping the thumb and finger(s) in the pocket parts 20.
11. The disposable napkin of claim 10, wherein the material 10 comprises folding lines 14 formed on its surface, so that the material 10 is folded in a predetermined shape.
12. The disposable napkin of claim 10, wherein the pocket part 20 is pressing- processed, along an attachment part 22.
13. The disposable napkin of any one of claims 10 to 12, wherein the pocket part 20 is formed to be spaced from the surface of the material 10.
14. The disposable napkin of any one of claims 1, 6 and 10, wherein the gripping parts 12 and the pocket parts 20 are three or four.
15. A disposable napkin comprising: a material 10 with a pair of gripping parts 12 and with a number of folding lines 14 formed on its surface at a predetermined intervals; and pocket parts 20 formed to be respectively attached to the gripping parts 12 of the material 10, the pocket part 20 having a predetermined space, along each gripping part 12, wherein a user grips and holds food by using the gripping parts 12 while keeping the thumb and the index finger in the pocket parts 20, respectively.
16. The disposable napkin of claim 15, wherein the material 10 has a "[_" shaped structure in appearance.
17. The disposable napkin of claim 15, wherein the pocket parts 20 are pressing- processed, along attachment parts 22.
