Description

Modular refrigerating group
DESCRIPTION
The object of the present finding is a modular refrigerating group capable of being easily transformed at low cost from a basic model into any of the possible variants described hereafter. In the state of the art different embodiments of refrigerating groups are known. They take up different configurations according to the required refrigerating power and set-up, the system requirements and the intended use. This means that a product catalogue contains an enormous number of variants of unit models.
This approach in the design and manufacture of refrigerating units has a series of disadvantages both for the manufacturer and for the user of the aforementioned units. For the manufacturer, the disadvantages are mainly linked to the warehouse management of numerous variants for each model, to the fact that it is not possible to carry out "just in time" deliveries and that the management of components is not optimal, with a consequent low "purchase power" with regard to the suppliers. For the user, on the other hand, it is not possible to vary the installed power or to adapt the refrigerating groups to changing unit requirements, for example use as heat pump in addition to "just cold"; nor is it possible to adapt a refrigerating group to changing intended uses in a building, for example from office use to hotel use or from commercial use to domestic use. The finding object of the present invention solves the aforementioned technical problems since it concerns a modular refrigerating group comprising at least one base module consisting of a compressor (1), a condenser (2), an expansion valve (3), an evaporator (4), according to a refrigeration circuit known as basic, said group having the possibility of being configured according to a plurality of different versions and/or set-ups, with or without accessory components, combining the version, the set-up and the number and/or type of accessory, and characterised in that it also comprises suitable exchangers both in "just cold" and heat pump versions, with increased exchange surfaces, at least one replaceable fan, a base electrical board to which it is possible to add one or more precabled modules, at least one compressor with possibility of silencing and a plurality of connection kits geared to adapt the refrigeration circuit to the requirements. The object of the patent thus concerns the advanced industrialisation of a refrigerating group so as to be able to easily transform the base model at low cost into any of the combinations, also acting directly on the installation. It is an absolute novelty in the field that leads to a series of advantages, both for the manufacturer and for the user. For the manufacturer, the main advantages are: • warehouse management of a single basic model that can be simply and cost-effectively transformed, once the order has arrived, into a specific variant;
• organisation of production according to the "just in time" model;
• more rational purchasing of components, thus allowing an increase in "leverage" with regard to suppliers.
The user, on the other hand, obtains greater advantages since he can: • adapt the refrigerating groups to the evolution of the unit requirements; for example the user can buy "just cold" refrigerators and then transform them into heat pumps, should the need arise (for example, decrease in electricity prices and/or increase in methane prices); equally, he can decide to transform it into a recovery refrigeration group;
• adapt the refrigerating groups to the variation in intended use of a building; it may be the case that buildings built for a certain use, after a few years will be used for a different use; for example, a building built for telecommunications use can be transformed into a luxury boutique and, then, transformed again into a hotel; in the three changes the refrigerating groups must meet different needs, for which reason the unit cannot be optimised; the object of the present finding allows the characteristics of the machines to be adapted at low cost and industrially; • increase the power of the refrigerating groups by up to 50% thanks to use of a subcooler.
These and other advantages shall become clearer in the following detailed description of the invention that shall refer specifically to tables 1/2 and 2/2 in which some preferred schematic diagrams are represented, as examples and not for limiting purposes. In particular:
• fig. 1 represents the circuit of the base module according to the invention, comprising a compressor (1), a condenser (2), an expansion valve (3) and an evaporator (4);
• fig. 2 shows the circuit with partial recovery, in which the desuperheater (5) is added between points D of the base circuit; • fig. 3 is the total recovery circuit that is obtained by adding the total recovery (6) and a 3 -way valve between points RT;
• fig. 4 illustrates the circuit with subcooling, in which the 3- way subcooler (7) is added between points S of the base circuit; • fig. 5 shows the heat pump circuit, in which, with respect to the base circuit, a 4-way valve (8), solenoid (9) and nonreturn valves (10), an expansion valve (11), a receiver (12) and a separator (13) of liquid are inserted in the circuits between points PdC. With reference to the aforementioned figures, the object of the present invention is a modular refrigerating group, conceived to ensure maximum flexibility in terms of construction (industrial process), in terms of storage of the end product, and in terms of installation on the unit. It comprises a series of base modules, for example five, but the number can clearly be extended. By combining the base modules together any refrigerating or thermal power can be achieved. Each refrigerating group, whatever the number of base modules used, is characterised by a version, a set-up and different accessories. The numbers of versions, set-ups, accessories and combinations thereof are purely an indication, as it is indeed also possible to obtain further combinations that are not mentioned without departing from the scope of the present patent document. The versions currently made are:
A) just cold (liquid refrigerator);
B) heat pumps.
The set-ups foreseen at the moment are: standard, silenced, super-silenced, high-efficiency and high-temperature. The possible accessories are: partial recovery (desuperheater); total recovery (recuperator); recovery from subcooler. Each version can have all of the set-ups. Each version with the set-ups can have the following accessories:
- no accessory: basic refrigeration circuit, figure 1 ; - partial recovery: refrigeration circuit with desuperheater (5), figure 2;
- total recovery: refrigeration circuit with total regenerator (6), figure 3; - partial recovery + recovery from subcooler: refrigeration circuit with desuperheater (5) and subcooler (7), figures 2 and 4;
- total recovery + recovery from subcooler: refrigeration circuit with total regenerator (6) and subcooler (7), figures 3 and 4.
Clearly, in the heat pump version the reference circuit without accessories becomes the one represented in fig. 5, circuit for heat pump, where, compared to the basic circuit of fig. 1, a 4-way valve (8), solenoid (9) and nonreturn (10) valves, an expansion valve (1 1), a liquid receiver (12) and a liquid separator (13) are inserted between points PdC. Should there be accessories, the reference shall be the circuit of fig. 5 plus the reference circuit of the accessory as indicated above. For example, the heat pump version with total recovery shall have the circuit of fig. 5 and that of fig. 3 as reference.
Consequently, each base unit can have 2x5x4 = 40 combinations. Starting from the base module, so that the refrigerating group can be transformed into the different versions, with different setups and with one or more accessories, a series of elements have to be modified. In particular: - type of air condenser (for liquid refrigerator or heat pump)
- exchange capacity of the condenser
- electrical board
- silencing of the compressors - refrigeration circuit
In general, the adopted solutions are the following. As regards the type of air condenser, in order to simplify things, all of the exchangers are already set up in heat pump version, even in the just cold solutions. For the exchange capacity of the condenser, whereas generally the number of rows (therefore the exchange surface) of the exchanger and the flow rate of the cooling fluid (air) are acted upon, in the sense that the high- efficiency and high-temperature versions have a larger exchange surface and a greater air flow rate, in this finding, it has been chosen to have an increased surface area for all of the versions, only being able to vary the air flow rate (less in the standard version). In order to do this one acts upon the fan, an easy-to- replace component. With regard to the electrical board, one acts with a standard electrical board to which integration modules precabled for the various versions, set-ups and accessories are added. For the silencing of the compressors made-to-measure sound insulation jackets are used that can be installed very easily. Finally, the refrigeration circuit can be modified starting from the basic scheme and combining 4 preset modifications, carried out through industrially prepared connection kits. The schemes are shown in the subsequent figures. Hereafter, the possible combinations are shown, with brief descriptions (for all, as already stated, the condenser is the same).
