Abstract

An air conditioning unit is provided that includes a condenser having an elongated portion and a bent portion. In one example, the condenser is a L-shape or U-shape. The bent portion is supported by a tube sheet providing first and second wall portions. The first wall portion is secured to a condenser shroud, and a second wall portion is secured to a housing. In one example, condenser coils extend from the tube sheet. The condenser coils are unobstructed by the shroud. In one example, the shroud includes a lateral wall having an orifice surrounding a fan. A side wall extends from the lateral wall and includes a flange. The flange is secured to the first wall portion by fasteners, in one example. In one example, the second wall portion is spaced from the first wall portion and secured to a base pan of the housing at one end and a top cover at another end.
