Abstract

The present invention relates to an electrode and a measuring device for measuring the action current and/or the action potential of an electrically active tissue. The aim of the present invention is to provide an electrode for measuring action currents and/or action potentials in electrically active tissues that can be produced in a simple and cost-effective manner that, on the one hand, guarantees a safe but reversible fixation of the electrode in the muscle tissue and, on the other hand, traumatizes the muscle tissue as little as possible. According to the invention, an electrode with an elongated electrode base body (1) having a first end (3) and a second end (4) is proposed, wherein the electrode is designed in a way, such that it can only be guided through a tissue (2) in a forward motion (6) along the longitudinal axis of the electrode basic body (1).
