Several slots can be combined into a star-shaped structure. In this embodiment, the wiping elements are arranged centered in the carrier. This embodiment is particularly suitable for circular wiping elements. Here, the wiping elements are aligned so that there is a wide support surface. Furthermore, the maximum force is applied in the middle of the structure.

Two star-shaped structures can be provided in the carrier. Here are wiper elements with different properties on a support be combined. For example, wiper elements with abrasive properties can be arranged in one structure and wiper elements with a particularly high water output can be arranged in the other structure.

The slot may have a circular extension at end points and / or locations of the direction change. The circular extension improves the durability of the carrier, since the notch effect is reduced and can be prevented so that the carrier tears prematurely in the region of a slot.

The wiping elements may consist of at least one strip-shaped textile layer. As a wiper element layers of paper, nonwoven or other knitted or crocheted come into consideration. These may be strip-shaped, that is rectangular or even circular. They may be designed to be usable once or reusable.

The wiping elements may be slotted at their edges. The slotted edges degrade by use and cause an increase in the volume of the wiping elements, which improves the absorption capacity for dirt.

Embodiment of the invention

FIG. 1 shows a mop 1 with a handle 11 to which a head 2 is fastened by means of a screw connection. On the head 2, a plate-shaped support 4 is attached to the underside, which has at least one slot 5, are replaceable by the wiper elements 3 attached to the head. In this embodiment, two strip-shaped wiper elements 3 are attached to the head, which are slotted at their edges 10.
