Description

SWEAT SUIT
This invention relates to a sweat suit.
Today, many people wear sweat suits when exercising, particularly when using gyms or fitness clubs. The sweat suits uses the natural body heat which is generated during training any type of physical exercise to increase perspiration. The increase in body heat due to the sauna effect that the sweat suit creates helps to increase metabolism and the burning of calories. This enables weight loss to be maximised during a workout.
However, the wearing of sweat suits is, in some circumstances, undesirable. While it is perfectly alright to wear sweat suits during exercise, it is often necessary to change clothes before one does anything else. In particular, some health and fitness clubs make a rule that sweat suits are unacceptable in areas outside the workout areas such as in the restaurant and bar.
The present invention seeks to provide an article of clothing which can be worn during workouts but is also acceptable in other areas.
According to the invention, there is provided a sweat suit comprising an article of clothing having an inner lining impermeable to moisture and an exterior garment made of a different material.
Preferably, the sweat suit comprises a top part and a trouser part.
The inner lining of the top part may be attached to the exterior garment at the waist and wrists leaving the neck free while the inner lining of the trouser part may be attached to the exterior garment at the waist leaving the ankles free.
The inner lining may comprises nylon, for example 100% nylon taffeta 190T/70D W/P 600 mm and the exterior garment may comprise a polyester fabric, for example, 100% polyester 150x90/70Dx75D weight 90g/m2 125g/y.
The invention will now be described in greater detail, by way of example, with reference to the drawing, the single figure of which is a diagrammatic representation of a two part sweat suit in accordance with one embodiment of the invention.
Referring to the drawing a sweat suit 1 comprises a top 3 and trousers 5, the whole having the exterior appearance of a track suit. Both parts of the sweat suit have an inner lining 7 and 9 respectively, shown in dotted lines as it is not visible through exterior garment. As can be seen, the lining 7 of the top 3 is attached to the exterior garment at the wrists 11 and at the waist 13 but is free at the neck 15. The lining 9 of the trousers 5 is only attached at the waist 17 and is free at the ankles 19.
The inner linings are intended to be a close fit and are impermeable to moisture and intended to retain the sweat of someone wearing it. The exterior garment is of a tracksuit like material so that, the whole garment when worn, appears to be a track suit. Suitably the inner lining is made of nylon, for example 100% nylon taffeta 190T/70D WVP 600 mm. Otherwise any material which is lightweight and non breathable would be suitable. The exterior garment is suitably made from a polyester fabric, for example 100% polyester 150x90/70Dx75D weight 90g/m2 or 125g/y.
It will be appreciated that various modifications of or additions to the above described embodiments without departing from the invention, For example, instead of the two piece garment shown, a suitable one piece garment could be provided as in some workmens' overalls. The materials of which the suit is made could be varied as long as the inner lining remains impermeable and the exterior garment has a suitable disguising effect. The locations at which the lining is attached to the exterior garment can be varied as long as the lining and exterior garment remain suitably attached together. For example, the inner lining could be attached to a different position on the back of the neck of the exterior garment
