Abstract
An X-ray device is configured with alignment devices to position image receptors within the x-ray field. Image receptor holding devices are provided with mounting pins; some are selectively rotatable. Adapters and carrier cards are provided that configure recess-free image receptors for use with mounting pins. Retainers are provided to confine image receptor lead wires. Bar arrangements capable of conducting electrical signals from an image receptor to associated electrical equipment are provided. Certain image receptors can be configured to retain other receptors so that multiple x-ray images can be recorded simultaneously. Collimator tubes are provided with geometries that focus emission of x-radiation so that x-radiation passing from the collimator tube substantially pass into the image receptor. Collimators tubes are provided that are composed of polymeric materials that impede the transmission of x-radiation.
