Bevorzugt beträgt dieser Winkel ca. 45°, andere Winkel sind allerdings auch möglich. Wird das erfindungsgemäße Material parallel zur Lauf- bzw. Hauptverarbeitungsrichtung geknickt, werden die bei herkömmlichen Materialbah- nen auf einzelne Fäden besonders stark wirkenden Kräfte auf die zur Verfügung stehenden Fäden gleichmäßiger verteilt. Unter Hauptverarbeitungsrichtung wird die Richtung verstanden, in welcher das Material 1 dynamisch oder statisch beansprucht wird. Die dargestellten Fäden Ia, Ib, welche in den Richtungen a bzw.. b in einem Winkel zur Richtung x bzw. zur Querrichtung y der Materialbahn 1 verlaufen, bestehen gemäß einer möglichen Ausführungsform im wesentlichen aus synthetischen Fasermaterialien wie Ara- mid, Polyester oder einer Kombination hieraus. Andere Materialien und Mischgewebe sind jedoch auch denkbar. Der bevorzugte Winkel der Fadenrichtungen a, b, zur Richtung x beträgt 45° , wobei im Einzelfall andere Richtungen denkbar sind; insbesondere beim Einsatz von Gelegen als Trägermaterial können mehrere von der Laufrich- tung abweichende Winkel zum Einsatz kommen.
Die Materialbahn 1 ist bevorzugt als ein- oder beidseitig beschichtetes oder/und mehrlagiges Material mit einem Gewebe oder Fadensystem 1 als Trägermaterial ausgebildet, wobei als Beschichtungsmaterial beispielsweise Polyurethan oder Polyvinylchlorid eingesetzt werden können. Des weiteren kann diese Materialbahn 1 auch mit Folienmaterialien (z.B.
