Abstract

Disclosed is a system for estimating a vehicle component checking time, which is built into a gauge panel of a vehicle to prevent the system from being exposed to the outside of the vehicle, and uses an electrical signal generated from the engine for estimation. The system for estimating a vehicle component checking time includes an engine motion detection means for computing the engine motion by using an electrical signal generated from the engine and received through a cigar lighter receptacle, calculating a travel distance on the basis of the computed engine motion, and comparing the calculated travel distance and a preset travel distance value of the relevant component to determine the checking time of the relevant component; and a portable terminal for receiving checking time information from the engine motion detection means and displaying the checking time information on a display.
