Abstract

A device with a directional nozzle for the automatic diffusion of a substance contained in an aerosol of t:he type that are coupled on the container and have a spraying outlet (4) on their upper portion, where the user chooses certain spraying characteristics, such as for example spraying frequency, characterised in that the diffuser is mainly formed by two bodies (1, 3) that communicate internally with one another and are joined by means that allow certain rotation of the upper body (3). The lower body (1) is fixed to the container containing the elements to be sprayed, whereas the upper body (3) can rotate, and since the rotation occurs on an inclined plane (5) this changes the orientation of the spraying outlet (4) provided on the upper portion of the device.

This invention relates to an automatic diffuser for substances contained in an aerosol of the type that are coupled on the container and have a spraying outlet on their upper portion, where the user chooses certain spraying characteristics, such as for example spraying frequency, characterised in that the diffuser is mainly formed by two bodies that communicate internally with one another and are joined by means that allow certain rotation of the upper body
The lower body is fixed to the container containing the elements to be sprayed, whereas the upper body can rotate, and since the rotation occurs on an inclined plane this changes the orientation of the spraying outlet provided on the upper portion of the device.
Background of the invention
The literature provides references to innumerable automatic aerosol diffusers where the user can choose a spraying characteristic such as spraying frequency. Most devices of this kind relate to boxes or casings that house the aerosol inside them and where either a valve actuator is pressed by means of a conventional motor and gear system, thus releasing the aerosol, or the container valve is constantly open and there is an electronically-operated valve that opens or closes passage of the aerosol to the outside. However, already in 1985 patent P89277 regarding "A timed aerosol spraying device with the possibility of programming its spraying cycles" referred to an automatic spraying device where instead of containing the aerosol bottle in a box or casing, it is the diffuser that is coupled onto the bottle as a spraying head, with an electronically operated valve

Subsequent patents regarding spraying heads of the type mentioned include patent ES2208339, which focuses mainly on the way in which the spraying head is fixed to the aerosol bottle, or more recently patent WO2007/124554, which is still being processed
In all these patents the spraying outlet is fixed, which implies a decrease in the usefulness of the spraying head, since the user cannot determine the direction of the spraying.
On the other hand, there are also references for aerosol dispensers existing references aerosol with directional cannulas, such as patent ES2008681, which describes a cannula with a tubular outlet where a core has been incorporated on one of the sides of the tube or cannula that is made of a material that maintains the position chosen by the user, or patent ES 1005741, relating to a directional cannula made out of bent sleeves that can be configured in practically any position of interest However, these ways of directing the output of the liquid are always based on external accessories that make the product look ugly and complicated to handle
Description of the invention
The invention proposed consists in a spraying head where the user can easily choose the spraying program he or she desires and also handle said spraying head in order to direct the spraying, also having a presence detector in order to avoid consumption in the absence of people or animals.
The structure of the spraying device comprises two bodies with a circular section that communicate with one another and are related such that the upper body rotates over the lower body and where the plane of rotation has a certain inclination The device is fixed coaxially onto the upper portion of the aerosol bottle The spraying spout is provided on the upper portion of the device.
When both bodies are in a coaxial position with respect to one another, and therefore to the bottle, the spraying is performed vertically upwards. Since the rotation occurs on an inclined plane, when the upper body is rotated both bodies are no longer coaxial and the outlet spout varies its position, thus being directed sideways.
The spraying device has inside it an electronically-operated valve connected to an electronic system in order to release the pressurised substance in a controlled manner.
This electronically-operated valve communicates, on the one hand, with a deposit that communicates with the inside of the pressurised bottle, and on the other hand, with the conduit that will carry the liquid towards the outlet spout.

Alternatively, a channelling can be used that is based on tube or cannula sections and joining sleeves or ball joints. The electronically-operated valve is opened with the frequency chosen by the user from amongst a pre-programmed series of frequencies that are controlled by an electronic system.
The frequency program chosen is shown via an indicator (11), and there are other indicators indicating battery charge (9) and aerosol charge (10).
The device includes a presence detector (7).
In order to achieve a very simple and intuitive operation of the device we have developed a three position switch with an actuation button comprising two large openings through which different kinds of information is shown or accessed. The different positions of the button are the following-
An "off' position, where the upper opening of the button shows a symbol indicating the "off" status and the lower opening just shows part of the dispenser surface.
An "on" position, where the upper opening of the button shows a symbol indicating the "on" status and the lower opening provides access to a control in order to select spraying frequency.
An "alert" position, which activates the present detector so that spraying occurs when a presence is detected and the preselected frequency is activated for a predetermined period of time.

Claims

1 A device for the automatic diffusion of a substance contained in an aerosol of the kind that is fixed on the container itself of the substance to be sprayed, maintaining the outlet valve pressed, thus allowing passage of the liquid to a chamber that is closed by an electronically-operated valve that is controlled electronically and the opening and closing frequency of which is chosen by the user from between the series prerecorded sequences characterised in that it comprises two hollow bodies with cylindrical sections that are superimposed, which communicate with one another and are fixed to one another by fastening means that allow the rotation of the upper body and where do you rotation plane is inclined, the outlet spraying spout being on the upper portion of the device.

5 A device for the automatic diffusion of a substance contained in an aerosol according to claim 1, especially characterised in that the communication between the electronically-operated valve and the outlet spraying spout occurs via the communication opening of both bodies and by means of a channel performed based on tubes with elbow joints
