Abstract
The precise hair dyeing set with the hair lock fastener comprises of an injector and a hair lock fastener. The injector uses replaceable flexible cartridges (7) filled with dye components. When a pressure to cartridge's walls is applied, components are extracted. The pressure is created by springs (51) (60) or by the pressure of the slider (6) which slides manually, by a springs force or by an electro motor. Opening vaults (4) enables component's extraction from the flexible cartridge (7) into the spiral mixer (2), where they mix and then soak the sponge tip (1) which is used to lay the dye on a hair.˙ The fastener consists of two hemispheres with arms. By pressing arms, hemispheres open to create space between them. The protective foil (70) shaped as a tape with a self-adhesive element at its beginning is fixed to edges (74) of the fastener. A hair lock is placed between hemispheres, arms are released and the fastener closes and fastens the hair lock with the foil (70) underneath it. After dyeing a hair lock, the protective foil (70) is folded over the hair lock and seals it.
Description
Description PRECISE HAIR DYEING SET WITH HAIR LOCK FASTENER
[I] Relevant field of the invention
[2] This invention relates to the equipment intended to be used for a simple, fast, precise and neat dyeing (highlighting) of individual hair or hair locks. It can also be used for other cosmetic or chemistry preparations. According to the international classification (IPC) it is classified as: A45D19/02; A45D19/00B; B01F5/06B3B6B; B01F13/00K2; B01F15/02;B65D81/32H; B01F5/06B3B6B.
[3] Technical problem
[4] During a lifetime, hair loses pigment and gray hair occurs. If one wants to dye or highlight them, majority of available methods would require dyeing most of the hair, or all of the hair. For a fashion reasons, there is increasing requirement for highlighting hair locks only.
[5] State of the art
[6] Hair dyeing on one's own is performed by stirring or shaking two or more chemicals packed separately. This results in a mixture which is applied to the hair by using a brush or some other toolkit. Remaining unused mixture must be discarded.
[7] The precise hair dyeing set enables the extraction of components from the system simply by a finger squeeze. Subsequently, mixed and ready-to-use dye will extract from an injector. Once it is empty, a flexible cartridge can be simply replaced by a new one.
[8] A hair lock we wish to dye is separated from all other hair simply and fast by using an elastic ring for hair protection. After dye application, a hair lock is fast and simply wrapped into a foil which protects from fast drying and from unwanted dyeing of other hair.
[9] There are many well known hair dying or highlighting methods or a hair lock highlighting methods, but due to a complex procedure or a complicated appliance, only a few of them are used. Many of them, like the one found in application number US2008083418, are used to apply a dye into applicators which are then used to apply dye to a hair. Some other tools like the one found in the application U.S. Pat. No. 7,156,104 display a very good solution for a simple and a good quality application of a dye to a hair lock, but they use a cartridge which is intended to be filled with a previously prepared dye which must be mixed before it is filled in the cartridge.
[10] There are certain ideas and products which offer a solution of manual displacement of a dye into some type of a comb. The dye is then applied to a hair through the comb, as displayed by the invention number KR20070003918U. However, this procedure's disadvantage is uneven dye components extraction, as well as insufficient mixing and a proper dye application to every single hair; and dripping of the dye.
[II] Many solutions, such as U.S. Pat. No. 5,865,345 display quality component mixing.
However, they are inappropriate for fast and simple application with respect to mixing and precise application to a hair.
[12] Many solutions of flexible cartridges with two chambers are known on a market.
The simple ones such as US 3380646, US6,287,612; U.S. Pat. No. 5,954,234, U.S. Pat. No. 6,164,822, US3, 980,222, do not offer solution for equal and precise extraction, dosage and mixing of the components, nor do they offer solution to prevent air access after usage.
[13] Equal extraction solution as displayed in US 4314652 is acceptable, but only when equal extraction of the components is required.
[14] Precise hair dyeing set reveals solution for equal component extraction, precise dosage and mixing of the components. Equable, ready-to-use mixture is delivered on the application tool. It is simple to use and it does not require specific skills or training. Pre-accumulated energy (spring) or electromotor drive is used for extraction of components from the cartridges. Dosage is controlled over a control valve by applying a finger pressure or a wheel push, whereby it is essentially different from the extraction presented in WO 03022456.
[15] Innovations FR2887530 and US2005109796 also display usage ofa flexible cartridge with two chambers and systems of components mixture. However, they do not provide a solution for a precise dosage or fast closure which prevents air access after usage. Furthermore, they do not provide a solution for cleaning of a spiral mixing tube, nor do they have their own extraction drive.
[16] There are many known ways to protect newly dyed hair locks, such as FR2854778 or US3726289. However, the hair locks protection fastener enables fast and precise installation as well as fast, simple and effective protection of dyed hair lock by using two halves of a disk which protects scalp from dye diffusion and a foil for easy and fast protection of a hair lock.
[17] For mixing of components, the precise hair dyeing set uses spiral mixer as presented in EP 1667548 or some other spiral mixing tube such as ones displayed in JP62140632; DE2262016; US3635444.
[18] Summary of the invention
[19] The aim of this invention is : to create a hair dye applicator for simple, precise, neat use (i.e. without dye dripping when applicator is in an unfavorable position);
• which provides possibility of precise dosage of the extracted dye and prevents contact of components with air;
• enables refill with replacement cartridges or enables filling the cartridge up with the components available on the market;
• enablessimple and logical usage which is appropriate for professional use and use at home.
[20] The hair dye applicator increases work speed during a single hair dyeing, smaller
parts of hair dyeing, a showing roots dyeing or a hair lock dyeing, specially when the hair locks protection fastener with the protection foil is used. By increasing a work speed, a professional hair dyeing price can be decreased. Also, simple use of this applicator enables a hair dyeing on one's own at home.
[21] The precise hair dyeing set with a hair lock fastener is composed of the applicator
(i.e. injector which enables extraction of one or more components from the flexible cartridge) and the hair lock protection fastener. If the cartridge with multiple components is used, they will instantly mix in a spiral mixing tube (2) and soak a sponge tip (1) or one of extensions displayed in the EP1667548, with a prepared dye. The dye is precisely dosed by opening or closing a valve (4), which is done by applying a finger pressure. Components in asymmetrical flexible cartridge (7) are extracted by sliding the slider (6) (6') (6") towards the front side of the injector while a roller (61) on its bottom pressures the wall of the flexible cartridge, which extracts the components. The slider (6) (6') (6") slides towards the front side of the injector pushed manually, by a spring (21) pressure or by rotation of a spindle (9) rotated by a torsion spring (31) or an electro motor (41).
[22] If a flexible cartridge (7') is used, components are extracted by springs (51), (60), which are compressed by a flexible cartridge (7') when it is inserted into the injector (80). After the flexible cartridge (J') is attached to a headpiece (3) of the injector, an element (80) in which a laminated spring (60) or spiral springs (51) are also attached to the headpiece (3). The flexible cartridge (7') at the same time suppresses springs (51), (60), which are subsequently compressed. Springs (51), (60) apply pressure on the walls of the flexible cartridge (7'), and when a vault (4) is opened by applying a finger pressure, components are extracted from the flexible cartridge (7').
[23] The fastener for a hair lock protection serves for simple and fast separation and protection of hair locks. By pressuring arms of the fastener, the fastener opens up and a foil (70) with a self-adhesive element is placed on its walls. One hair lock is separated; the fastener is opened up by pressing arms of the fastener. A hair lock is placed in the spread fastener and the fastener slides down to a hair root. The protective foil (70) is now located underneath the hair lock. After a dye is placed on the hair lock, the protective foil (70) is pressed and hair lock, which is soaked in dye, is completely wrapped. This prevents a dye from drying too fast and also protects remaining hair from unwanted dyeing.
[24] The above-mentioned characteristics and innovative solutions, as well as combination with previously known innovations, introduced by the above-mentioned authors, clearly indicate that the precise hair dyeing set with the hair lock fastener was not previously described, introduced nor is it already in use.

[40] Detailed description of the invention realization
[41] The precise hair dyeing set with the hair lock fastener includes an injector for dyeing hair and the fastener for dyed hair lock protection. Flexible cartridges (7), (7') with chambers containing a dye are inserted into the injector. Cartridges can be shaped symmetrically (7') or asymmetrically (7). Methods of a dye extraction from the cartridge depend of the shape of cartridges. [42] Content is extracted out of flexible symmetrically shaped cartridges (7 ') by squeezing cartridge walls from two sides, whereby energy of springs is used (51) (60). [43] Content is extracted out of a flexible asymmetrically shaped cartridges (7) by a roller (61) compressing chamber walls of the upper cartridge, while the lower chamber seats on the wall of injector's (8) (8') (8") (8'") element. The roller is scrolled by
energy of sρrings(21), (31), electric motor (41) energy or manually.
[44] The most frequently used dye for a professional or domestic use is composed of two liquid components packed separately. They are to be mixed immediately prior to use and upon mixing with each other they dry and harden very fast.
[45] The injector of the precise hair dyeing set presented here uses replaceable cartridges with walls made of a flexible material which allows bending and shape deformations without resistance. These cartridges are loaded with a hair dye components. The flexible cartridge (7), (7') can be loaded and sealed tight or empty, which allows loading with a dye available on the market followed by sealing with self-adhesive ply on its bottom or sealing by using any other method which have been discovered and is in general use. The flexible cartridge (7), (7') can also consist of only one chamber if one-component dye is used. The flexible cartridge (7), (7') is attached to the headpiece
(3) with thread or one of the 'click' systems which are generally used and which allows fast replacement of flexible cartridges (7), (7'). The headpiece (3) is used to attach flexible cartridges (7), (7') and the element (8) (8') (8") to it. Inside the headpiece (3), there is a vault (4), a sponge tip (1) and a spiral mixing tube (2). The vault (4) is opened under pressure and components are extracted from the flexible cartridge's(7), (7') chambers, of which walls are under pressure. Components are extracted into thespiral mixing tube (2) in which they mutually mix and then soak the sponge tip (1) which is used to paint dye on a hair. The pressure on the cartridge walls can be achieved in a several ways:
[46] Picture lWhen the element (8) is de-attached from the headpiece (3), the flexible cartridge (7) is attached to the headpiece (3) and the element (8) is attached back to the headpiece (3). The slider (6) manually slides towards the front side of the injector. The roller (61) located at the bottom of the slider (6) compresses the upper wall of the flexible cartridge (7), of which the bottom seats on the wall of theelement(8). This creates a pressure which extracts components from the flexible cartridge (7). By compressing the upper part of the vault (4) it slides down and the vault (4) opens, whereby components exit chambers and enter into the spiral mixer (2) and then soak the sponge tip (1).
[47] Picture 2When the element (8') is de-attached from the headpiece (3), the flexible cartridge (7) is attached to the headpiece (3). Two knobs (6A) are manually pulled to the rear of the injector and the spiral spring (21) is compressed. The element (8') is attached to the headpiece (3) again. Compressed spiral spring (21) subsequently compresses the slider (6') towards the roller (61) which is located at the bottom of the slider (6') and compresses the upper wall of the flexible cartridge (7) of which the bottom is seats on the wall of theelement(8'). This creates a pressure which extracts components from the flexible cartridge (7). By compressing the upper part of the vault
(4) it slides down and the vault (4) opens, whereby components exit chambers and enter into the spiral mixer (2) and then soak the sponge tip (1).
[48] Picture 3When the element (8 ' ')is de-attached from the headpiece (3), the flexible cartridge (7) is attached to the headpiece (3). The element (8")is attached to the headpiece (3) again. The lid (34) is swiveled and thereby a torsion spring (31) is compressed. The torsion spring (31) rotates a shaft (35). The shaft (35) is connected to a cogwheel (33) and rotates it, the cogwheel rotates another cogwheel (32) which is joined to a spindle (9) and rotates it. The spindle (9) goes trough a bore with a thread on the slider(6"). The slider (6") subsequently slides forward and the roller (61) placed on the bottom of the slider (6") compresses the upper wall of the flexible cartridge (7),of which the bottom seats on the wall of theelement(8"). This creates a pressure which extracts components from the flexible cartridge (7). By compressing the upper part of the vault (4) it slides down and the vault (4) opens, whereby components exit chambers and enter into the spiral mixer (2) and then soak the sponge tip (l).

By compressing the upper part of the vault (4) it slides down and the vault (4) opens, whereby electric circuit is closed, serving as electric circuit switch which turns on the electro motor (41). The electro motor (41) rotates when switched- on and rotates the cogwheel (33) to which it is connected. The cogwheel (33) rotates other cogwheel (32) which is connected to the spindle (9) and rotates it. The spindle (9) goes trough a bore with a thread on the slider(6"). The slider (6") subsequently slides forward and the roller (61) placed on the bottom of the slider (6") compresses the upper wall of the flexible cartridge (7),of which the bottom is seats on the wall of theelement(8'"). This creates a pressure which extracts components from the flexible cartridge (7). Subsequently components exit chambers and enter into the spiral mixer (2) and then soak the sponge tip (1).

The element (80) is attached to the headpiece (3) again and the cartridge (7') enters between panels (50) and compresses the spiral springs (51). When the element (80) is attached to the headpiece (3), spiral springs (51) are totally compressed and push the flexible cartridge (7') over the plates (50). By compressing the upper part of the vault (4) it slides down and the vault (4) opens. Since the plates of the flexible cartridge (7') are constantly compressed, components exit chambers and enter into the spiral mixer (2) and then soak the sponge tip (1).

The element (80) is attached to the headpiece (3) again and the cartridge (7') enters between laminated springs (60) and compresses it. When the element (80) is attached to the headpiece (3), laminated spring (60) is totally compressed and pushes the walls of the flexible cartridge {!'). By
compressing the upper part of the vault (4) it slides down and the vault (4) opens. Since the walls of the flexible cartridge (7') are constantly compressed by the laminated spring (60), components exit chambers and enter into the spiral mixer (2) and then soak the sponge tip (1).
[52] Pictures 7, 7-A. 7-B and 8The fastener for the hair and hair locks protection is composed of two hemispheres with arms, the left hemisphere (71) and the right hemisphere (72), the spiral spring (75) and the spindle (73) which connects two hemispheres. The left hemisphere (71) and the right hemisphere (72) are semi circularly shaped, flat and with bar shaped arms. In released position, hemispheres (71) and (72) are joined together and form a full circle with a gap in the central position. The gap serves to hold a hair lock which needs to be dyed. When bars of the left hemisphere (71) and the right (72) hemisphere are pressed, detachment of hemispheres occurs (shaped as circle segment) between them, which creates access to the center gap. The protective foil (70) is stick to the fastener's edges (74). The protective foil (70) is in the form of a tape which begins with a self-adhesive layer for sticking the foil to the fastener. The hair lock which needs to be dyed is inserted trough the detachment between fastener's hemispheres, on which the foil is stick, and then lowered to the central gap. The hair protective fastener is lowered down to the root of the hair and hemisphere's bars (71) and (72) are released. Spiral spring (75) compresses hemispheres (71) and (72) and the fastener closes and subsequently holds tight the hair lock at its root. At this point the protective foil (70) is situated underneath the hair lock. After the dye is placed on the hair, the foil (70) is folded over the hair lock and seals it to protect dye from drying to fast and to protect other hair from unwanted dying.
[53] The invention of the injector for multiple uses with replaceable flexible cartridges enables fast and simple replacement of dye cartridges, which subsequently results in fast and simple dyeing of individual hair or smaller portion of newly grown and un- dyed hair.
[54] The invention of the hair protective fastener is applied for dying hair locks with the purpose to protect hair which is not intended to be dyed from unwanted dyeing which would occur from the contact with freshly dyed hair. Also, it prevents to fast drying of the dye, which would result in an interruption of a dying process.
[55] Simple and fast preparation of a hair lock and later protection after hair dyeing demands less skill and significantly expedites the process.
[56] The invention consists of only few parts which can all be produced in big series, made of plastic and by using procedure of plastic spraying.
