Abstract

The present invention is directed to a composition for treating fungal skin infections & skin inflammation, along with skin rejuvenation containing a) a biopolymer in the form of Chitosan, b) a combination of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), namely Miconazole Nitrate & Mometasone Furoate, used in treating fungal skin infections & skin inflammations, c) a cream base containing primary and secondary emulsifiers, waxy materials, co -solvents, acids, preservatives, buffering agents, anti oxidants, chelating agents, and humectants, and d) water. The active ingredients, namely chitosan, a corticosteroid in the form of Mometasone Furoate, and an antifungal agent in the form of Miconazole Nitrate, are incorporated in cream base for use in treating fungal skin infections and skin inflammation due to allergy & itching, & wounds on human skin involving contacting human skin with the above identified composition.
