Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication de produits moulés biodégradables à 100 %. Le procédé comprend l'utilisation de matériaux tels que l'amidon, et des déchets de maïs tels que les rafles de maïs, les tiges de maïs, les racines de maïs et les feuilles de maïs. Plus spécifiquement, les déchets de maïs sont pulvérisés et ajoutés à un rapport déterminé d'eau et d'amidon pour produire un mélange pâteux. Le mélange pâteux est ensuite moulé en une forme souhaitée de produits en utilisant une quantité déterminée de mélange pâteux afin d'éviter les pertes. Les produits moulés biodégradables ne requièrent aucun enrobage pour être résistants à l'eau ou rognage contrairement aux produits antérieurs qui sont produits en utilisant des procédés conventionnels. Ces produits moulés biodégradables peuvent être moulés pour différentes utilisations telles que des ustensiles de restauration, l'emballage et des récipients pour différentes industries. Le produit biodégradable résultant est économique, biodégradable à 100 % et utile.
