Description

TROUSERS, PARTICULARLY FOR HORSE RIDING
Technical Field
The present invention relates to trousers, particularly for horse riding. Background art
Nowadays, in the field of producing garments designed to be used in horse riding, trousers are known which are provided with patches and stitching at the part of the legs of the trousers which is adapted to cover the inside of the user's knees, and which is used to keep the user on his mount.
These patches are the solutions used today in order to satisfy two needs that are widely felt in the field of horse riding, i.e. that of preventing an easy slipping of the trousers on the saddle at the inside of the user's knees, and that of preventing or limiting the effect of irritation of the user's skin, which such slipping induces.
Thus, indeed, in order to prevent slipping, today patches are applied at the regions of the trousers which are adapted to cover the inside of the knees of the rider who wears them.
These patches, for example made of leather, have a surface that can develop a significant contact friction with the saddle.
Furthermore, these patches reinforce the trousers while deadening the effect of rubbing perceived on the skin by the user.
A further known solution has patches kept in place by stitching which are distributed on the inside region of the user's knees in order to effectively fix thereto the patches that are adapted to develop mechanical friction in contact with the saddle.
These known solutions are however strongly limited in that the friction induced by the rubbing contact with the saddle by means of the patches is insufficiently satisfactory and in any case is such as to still allow a slippage that is such as to subject the user's skin to an effect of irritating rubbing.
Furthermore, the surface of the patches tends to wear away and become smooth by the action of chafing on the saddle thus reducing the effect of friction that can be developed thereon.
Disclosure of the invention
The aim of the present invention is to provide trousers for horse riding which make it possible to overcome the drawbacks of the products known today, and are capable, during the ride, of effectively obstructing the slippage of the part thereof that covers the inside part of the rider's knees.
Within this aim, an object of the invention is to provide trousers for horse riding which make it possible to prevent the irritating effect on the user's skin, which is due to contact with the saddle particularly at the inside of the rider's knees.
Another object of the invention is to provide trousers for horse riding which fit more comfortably than the trousers for horse riding known today.
Another object of the invention is to provide trousers for horse riding which are structurally simple and easy to use, and which can be made at low cost.
This aim and these objects, as well as others which will become better apparent hereinafter, are achieved by trousers, particularly for horse riding, characterized in that they comprise trimmings for resisting the sliding of said trousers on the equipment that supports the rider on his mount, during use, said trimmings being made of polymeric material and being jointly connected to the fabric of said trousers in regions of contact of said trousers on said supporting equipment during the ride.
Brief description of the drawings
Further characteristics and advantages of the invention will become better apparent from the detailed description that follows of a preferred, but not exclusive, embodiment of the trousers for horse riding, according to the invention, which are illustrated for the purposes of non-limiting example in the accompanying drawings wherein:
Figure 1 is a front view of trousers for horse riding according to the invention;
Figure 2 is an enlarged and sectional view of a detail of trousers for horse riding according to the invention;
Figure 3 is a view of a detail of trousers for horse riding according to the invention;
Figure 4 is a view of a variation of the detail, shown in Figure 3, of trousers for horse riding, according to the invention.
Ways of carrying out the invention
With reference to the figures, the reference numeral 10 generally designates trousers, particularly for horse riding which, according to the invention, comprise trimmings 11 for resisting the sliding of the trousers 10 on the equipment that supports the rider on his mount, during use.
According to the invention, the trimmings 11 are made of polymeric material, and are jointly connected to the fabric of the trousers 10 in regions of contact 12 thereof with the supporting equipment, during the ride.
Advantageously, the regions of contact 12 comprise parts of the trousers 10 which are adapted to cover the substantially internal regions of the user's knees.
The trimmings 11 are preferably formed in substantially parallel strips which are distributed in the regions of contact 12, and are conveniently transverse to the longitudinal extension A of the legs 13 of the trousers 10.
In a first embodiment of the invention, the trimmings 11 are substantially rectilinear, as shown for the purposes of non-limiting example in Figure 3, which shows a leg 13 of the trousers 10 seen from the inner side of the part adapted to cover the user's knees.
In an alternative, and substantially equivalent, embodiment of trousers according to the invention, generally designated in Figure 4 with the reference numeral 100, the trimmings 111 comprise two consecutive segments 111a and 111b, non-aligned, which are substantially transverse to the longitudinal extension A of the legs 13 of the trousers 10, the at least two consecutive segments 111a and 111b being arranged with an orientation which is substantially V-shaped.
In general, in other embodiments of trousers according to the invention, which are not further described herein or illustrated in the accompanying figures, the trimmings comprise at least two consecutive non- aligned segments, and in particular they can comprise a plurality of such segments arranged so as to form a zigzag.
Advantageously, the polymeric material is a plastic resin, and conveniently receives the addition of polyvinyl chloride, the acronym of which is PVC.
Alternatively, the polymeric material is conveniently a silicone, particularly of the interlacing type for polyaddition, such as for example the siliconic paste commercially known by the name PRINTPERFEKT SI® sold by the CHT .BEITLICH GMBH company.
Advantageously, the trimmings 11 or 111 are fixed to the fabric of the trousers 10 or 100 by overprinting or by means of a silk-screen printing technique, or by gluing.
Use of trousers 10 or 100, according to the invention, is the following.
During use, the trimmings 11 or 111 make it possible to obtain a friction effect, both static and dynamic, that is greater than the patches known today, thus enabling the rider to substantially avoid slippage of the trousers 10 or 100 on the saddle or in general on the equipment that supports him on his mount.
Furthermore, due to the effective effect of resistance to slippage actuated by the trimmings 11 or 111, the effect of irritation of the user's skin is prevented, which is a consequence of such slippage when the products known today are used.
In practice it has been found that the invention fully achieves the intended aim and objects by providing trousers for horse riding which make it possible to overcome the drawbacks of conventional products, and are capable, during the ride, of effectively obstructing the slippage of the part thereof that covers the inside part of the rider's knees.
Furthermore, trousers for horse riding according to the invention make it possible to prevent the irritating effect on the user's skin, by resisting the slippage on the saddle of the trousers at the inside of the rider's knees.
Trousers for horse riding according to the invention are also more comfortable than conventional trousers for horse riding, since they do not have cumbersome patches, the trimmings being effective even though they are thin.
Furthermore, trousers for horse riding according to the invention have a simple structure and are easy to use, and can moreover be made at low cost.
The invention thus conceived is susceptible of numerous modifications and variations, all of which are within the scope of the appended claims. Moreover, all the details may be substituted by other, technically equivalent elements.
In practice the materials employed, provided they are compatible with the specific use, and the contingent dimensions and shapes, may be any according to requirements and to the state of the art.
