Garment comprising at least a part of the recouyrement of a part of the body of a wearer

The invention relates to a garment comprising at least one covering part of a body part of a wearer.

It relates in particular to a garment worn for the practice of a sporting activity or leisure, such as for example running, cycling, riding, motorcycle, or karting.

During a physical activity inducing a situation of hot discomfort, it is interesting to cool and evaporate well perspiration. In particular, the arms have the advantage of having a high surface area / volume ratio, of being highly perfused in a hot environment due to vasodilatation, and this while having little influence on the overall sweating necessary for thermoregulation of the body.

However, when practicing outdoor physical activity, the clothing worn is often waterproof, or at least serves as a windbreaker, to protect the wearer when the weather conditions are unfavorable, for example in cold weather or in case of bad weather.

For this purpose, these garments may comprise long sleeves forming cover portions of the wearer's arms and which are made of a material that is not very breathable and with water vapor, which makes the heat dissipation and the heat dissipation difficult. evaporation of perspiration on the wearer's arms.

These garments may comprise on each of their sleeves a sleeve associated with an annular zone delimiting an exit for a wrist of the wearer, said sleeve being equipped with a means for adjusting its diameter so as to allow the wearer to adapt the size of the the outlet to that of his wrist, or even to enlarge said outlet to form a game between his wrist and the sleeve and allow ventilation of his arm. However, during the practice of an activity during which the wearer of the garment tilts his arms and advance relative to his bust, for example to grip the handles of the handlebars of a bicycle, a motorcycle or a kart a portion of the sleeve and the annular zone of the sleeve falls downwardly. Therefore, the game can be at least partially obstructed by the hand and the handles of his vehicle, so that the outside air is difficult to enter the sleeve. To remedy these problems, clothing intended for the practice of an outdoor sporting activity may be provided with arm ventilation systems comprising openings on the sleeves of such clothing to penetrate the outside wind in said sleeves. In addition, to maximize the flow of outside air penetrating under the garment provided with such a ventilation system, it is appropriate to position the opening of said system according to the aerodynamics and to provide a circulation space of said flow under said clothing. Document US Pat. No. 5,105,477 discloses a garment whose sleeves are each equipped with a ventilation system of the wearer's arms, said system having in particular a longitudinal slot formed between the bottom of the sleeve and the wrist and between two walls whose respective front edges are disengaged from said wrist, said opening being further provided with closure means comprising a zipper and a flap with snaps.

However, this system is not entirely satisfactory when the relative wind is of low intensity, for example during the practice of running, riding or cycling. Indeed, the opening of the slot requires that a large relative wind rests on the walls of said slot. In addition, the size of the opening of the slot is not adjustable by the wearer and can therefore vary independently of his desire for ventilation. The invention aims to improve the prior art by proposing to equip a garment with at least one ventilation system which is adjustable by the wearer according to his ventilation will and with an efficiency independent of the relative wind force suffered by said wearer.

For this purpose, the invention proposes a garment comprising at least one covering part of a body part of a wearer, said covering part having a ventilation slot formed between two transverse edges, a first edge being equipped with means for adjusting its transverse dimension and the second edge being equipped with an insert which is elastically deformable between a plated state and an outwardly curved state to open said slot, said insert being arranged to be curved by decreasing the transverse dimension of the first edge through the adjusting means.

In connection with these figures, a garment comprising at least one covering part of a body part of a wearer is described below. The garment may be a jacket or pants, the lap part and the part of the body considered being then respectively a sleeve and a wearer's arm or a pant leg and a leg of the wearer. In addition, in the case of a jacket or trousers, the part of the body considered may also be the size, a bust area or a leg area of the wearer. In particular, the garment can be worn for the practice of a sporting activity or leisure, such as for example running, cycling, riding, motorcycle, or karting. For this purpose, the garment may be waterproof, or may be at least a windbreaker, in order to protect the wearer when the weather conditions are unfavorable, for example in cold weather or in bad weather.

The covering portion has a ventilation slot 8 formed between two transverse edges 9, 10, a first edge 9 being equipped with means for adjusting its transverse dimension.

In the embodiment shown, the covering portion has a distal end 1 comprising an annular zone 2 and a sleeve 3 associated with said zone delimiting an outlet 4 for the part of the body, said sleeve being equipped with adjustment means its diameter to adapt the size of the outlet 4 to that of the body part (not shown). The sleeve 3 may be made of a textile material identical to that of the annular zone 2 and the rest of the covering part, or else in a different textile material. Alternatively, the covering portion may be flat, for example by being disposed locally facing a bust or leg area of the wearer, the transverse direction corresponding to that in which the slot 8 extends. In connection with the figures, the adjusting means comprises a lug 5, one end of which is fixed to the sleeve 3, said lug being provided with a reversible attachment means 6 on a complementary means 7 provided on said sleeve. The reversible fastening means 6 and complementary 7 may be hook and loop fastening means Velcro® type closure means by snaps, or magnetic means.

The ventilation slot 8 (shown in dashed lines in the figures) is formed between a rear edge 9 of the sleeve 3 and a front edge 10 of the annular zone. 2, the tab 5 being fixed to said first edge. Preferably, the slot 8 may have a length of between one quarter and one half of the circumference of the annular zone 2. In relation to the figures, the slot 8 has a length substantially equal to one third of the circumference of the zone 2 and is formed on top of the distal end 1, so as to be disposed on the top of the body part of the wearer.

Thus, the ventilation slot 8 is particularly suitable for activities during the practice of which the wearer of the garment tilts his bust forward and positions his arms so as to tilt and advance relative to his bust. This is particularly the case for activities such as cycling. Alternatively, the slot 8 may be formed on the underside or on one side of the distal end 1.

In addition, the sleeve 3 may comprise a means 12 for elastic retention around the part of the body which is disposed on a portion of the circumference of said sleeve opposite the slot 8. In the figures, the sleeve 3 comprises a means 12 of elastic support which is disposed on the half of the circumference of said sleeve, the other half of said sleeve being free of elastic means and being partially covered with the complementary means 7 reversible attachment of the adjusting lug 5. The second edge 10 is equipped with an insert 13 which is elastically deformable between a plated state and an outwardly curved state to open the slot 8, said insert being arranged to be curved by decreasing the transverse dimension of the first edge 9 through the adjusting means. In the figures, the insert 13 is curved by reducing the diameter of the sleeve 3.

The slot 8 and / or the insert 13 may have different shapes, depending on the desired use of the garment. Thus, the manufacturer of such a garment can choose the desired size and / or shape for the insert 13 and / or the slot 8, according to whether he wishes an opening for the slot 8 with a local lifting of the area annular 2 which is slightly leaning towards the sleeve 3, to provide better protection against the weather, or is slightly leaning back of said annular zone, to improve the ventilation of the body part.

In particular, the insert 13 may comprise a band 13a extending transversely along the slot 8, said strip having two lateral edges and being arranged to curve by circumferential approximation of said lateral edges.

According to one embodiment, the band 13a is made of a semi-rigid material which allows, during the circumferential approximation of the lateral edges, to prevent the folding of said strip on itself while allowing its curvature in a single arc.

In particular, the band 13a may be made of an elastically deformable plastic material, for example of composition: 3% polyester (PES), 13% ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) and 84% low density polyethylene (LDPE). ). Alternatively, the band 13a may be formed by a stiffened area of the second edge 10, in particular made by heat sealing. The edge 10 comprises two longitudinal seams 14 on which respectively a lateral edge of the band 13a is in lateral abutment. Each seam 14 is disposed on one side of the slot 8 extending longitudinally over at least a portion of the edges 9, 10. In addition, the lateral edges of the band 13a can be fixed in a seam 14, respectively.

Thus, the two lateral edges of the band 13a are secured to both the sleeve 3 and the annular area 2, so that the reduction of the diameter of the sleeve 3 through the adjusting means causes a circumferential approximation of the seams 14 and thus said side edges, in order to pass the insert 13 in its curved state to open the slot 8.

In the figures, the slot 8 is bordered by the seams 14. In a variant, the seams 14 can be arranged at a distance from the edges of the slot 8.

In addition, when the adjustment means makes it possible to continuously reduce the diameter of the sleeve 3, especially when said adjustment means comprises a lug 5 equipped with a Velcro®-type strip, the wearer can arrange the circumferential approach in a continuous manner. the edges of the band 13a and thus the curvature of said band, which further enables said wearer to continuously adjust the size of the opening of the slot 8.

Thus, the opening of the ventilation slot 8 is adjustable by the wearer according to his desire ventilation for the part of the body and the effectiveness of said ventilation slot is independent of the relative wind suffered by said wearer.

In one embodiment, the annular zone 2 may comprise a sleeve in which the insert 13 is disposed. In addition, the insert 13 may comprise an elastic link (not shown) which is attached to each of the lateral edges of the band 13a, said insert then being able to be arranged all around the annular zone 2. In order to better match the shape of the annular zone 2 and the body part of the wearer, the insert 13 may have an initial curvature in its plated state. In particular, the insert 13 may initially be curved along a circular arc that follows a portion of the annular zone 2. According to a particular embodiment, this initial curvature can be obtained by means of the elastic link.

In relation to the figures, the second edge 10 further comprises a cap 16 which extends from the insert 13 on the first edge 9 to cover the slot 8. The cap 16 in particular allows the wearer to completely block the slot 8 to protect against cold and / or bad weather. In addition, the cap 16 can channel the air inlet into the slot 8.

The cap 16 may comprise a reversible fastening means 17 (shown in dashed lines in the figures) on a complementary means provided on the first edge 9. The fastening means 17 may be Velcro®-type Velcro® fastening means. pressure button, or a magnetic means disposed on the inner face of the cap 16. According to the embodiment shown, the first edge 9 comprises a band 7 forming complementary means for the fixing means 6, 17 respectively of the tab 5 and the cap 16, said strip extending over at least a portion of the transverse dimension of the first edge 9 facing the slot 8.

During the circumferential reconciliation of the longitudinal seams 14, the zone of the sleeve 3 facing the slot 8 decreases in length, which can cause a potentially annoying wrinkling near the opening of the slot 8 since it can hinder the penetration outside air through said slot. To avoid this inconvenience, the rear edge 9 of the sleeve may comprise a stiffened zone which is disposed facing the slot 8, and in particular between the longitudinal seams 14. In the embodiment shown, the strip 7 may form stiffening means so that the folding is performed on a limited area of the rear edge 9 of the sleeve 3 to allow optimal opening of said slot. The tab 5 has an inactive state (FIG. 2) in which it is raised to allow the cap 16 to be fastened to the strip 7 forming complementary means and to a fastening state (FIG. 1) in which it covers said strip in order to prevent fixing the cap 16 on said band and thus allow ventilation.

In addition, the band 7 forming complementary means is arranged to allow, when the cap 16 is fixed on said strip, the fixing of the tab 5 by covering said cap. When the wearer wishes to bring air under the garment to ventilate the part of his body covered by the distal end 1, he lifts the tab 5 and detaches the cap 16 of the band 7, for example by performing a traction on a pull (not shown) which can be formed on the outer face 16a of said cap, then decreases the diameter of the sleeve 3 to adjust it to said body portion by tightening the attachment of the tab 5 on the strip 7.

By tightening the tab 5, the carrier passes the insert 13 in its curved state, which causes the opening of the slot 8 by local separation of the front edge 10 of the annular zone 2 above the rear edge 9 of the sleeve 3 in order to allow external air to enter through said slot. In particular, it is then possible to adjust the size of the slot 8 by different clamping settings of the tab 5 and / or by different forms of the insert 13.

Alternatively, the cap 16 can be accessible to the wearer without requiring the lifting of the tab 5. Thus, the opening of the slot 8 can be performed by simply pulling on the cap 16, which is particularly advantageous when the wearer does not wish not interrupt his activity to open said slot. When the wearer wishes to protect himself from the cold or bad weather and / or no longer wishes to ventilate the part of his body covered by the distal end 1, he fixes the cap 16 on the band 7 so as to cover the slot 8, then covers said cap by tightening the tab 5, thus adjusting the diameter of the sleeve 3 to said body part in addition to maintaining the cap 16 on the sleeve 3, for optimum protection.

The proposed ventilation system has four possible modes of use:

a state in which the ventilation is active: the cap 16 is not fixed on the band 7 and the tab 5 is tightened (FIG. 1);

- three states where ventilation is inactive:

o the cap 16 is fixed on the band 7 and the leg 5 is raised

(Figures 2), the wrist is then not tight;

o the cap 16 and the leg 5 are fixed on the band 7, said tab and therefore the wrist not being tight;

o the cap 16 and the leg 5 are fixed on the band 7, said tab being tightened to close the ventilation by tightening the wrist.

Claims

1. Garment comprising at least one covering part of a body part of a wearer, said covering part having a ventilation slot (8) formed between two transverse edges (9, 10), said garment being characterized in that a first edge (9) is provided with means for adjusting its transverse dimension and in that the second edge (10) is equipped with an insert (13) which is elastically deformable between a plated state and a curved state towards the outside to open said slot, said insert being arranged to be curved by decreasing the transverse dimension of the first edge (9) through the adjusting means.
