Abstract

The present utility model relates to a disposable device (0) designed for protecting the fingers of the hand in public access sites, produced from reels (7) of plastics or paper. The device has at the front end (2) thereof a cut and sealed zone (1), and at the rear end (3) thereof two projections (4, 5) that form an inside recess (6). This configuration prevents the fingers of the user's hands to come into contact with dirt and microbial contamination in sites of public use, such as input key pads and door handles.

Description

"FINGER PROTECTION DEVICE"

The present utility model is related to health, revealing a disposable device, aimed at the protection of the finger in places of public access, creating a barrier to its contamination. Said device is preferably made of paper or plastic comprising a cavity in which the user's finger fits, and a detachable rear end, which allows its manufacture in reels. Each unit of the device can be provided to the user in single access areas, such as typing locations, or toilets, preventing contact with the user's fingers from dirt.

Description of the prior art

The association of hygiene conditions as a causal factor of disease is widely discussed and debated in the epidemiological area. An emblematic case illustrating the importance of maintaining a proper hygiene standard is the outbreak of Influenza A H1N1 that occurred in 2009. During this period, about 207 countries have confirmed laboratory cases of this disease (WHO, 2009). Measures such as handwashing and use of antiseptic gels have been widely reported as prophylaxis to control this pandemic.

US5842227 discloses a glove intended for the mechanical protection of the user against cuts and punctures, and is intended for surgical use, food handling, shoe shops, and construction. The aforementioned glove must be made of a material strong enough to meet the required mechanical protection, costly.

WO 2010045183 discloses finger and grease finger blankets and their dispenser. This dispenser comprises a base containing holes into which the user inserts the fingers of the hand, removing the already covered ones. This device has a high degree of complexity including encapsulation of all fingers and apparatus to provide finger blankets and equally high costs for their production.

From the above descriptions, it can be seen that in the present state of the art there is no solution that proposes to avoid exposure of the user's fingers to areas subject to contamination, comprising a form of agile dispensation and associated with a low cost. of production.

Model Objective

Thus, it is the object of the present utility model application to provide a low cost device that acts as a hygienic barrier, of thin (sharpening the tactile feel) and inexpensive, being conveniently provided by minimizing exposure of the user's fingers to dirt. , and microorganisms in areas of large flow of people.

Detailed Description of the Figures
