Description

Title:
An improved mist or fogging device for air conditioning
Field of Invention
The present invention relates to a mist cum fogging device. More particularly it relates to the said mist cum fogging device capable of being used as an economical substitute of air conditioners. Still more particularly it relates to the said mist cum fogging device which cools the atmosphere using the fine mist produced and dispensed through fine nozzles in the atmosphere to effect its cooling without condensation of the said misty water particles. The device of the present invention is provided with a novel adjustable air dispersion plate which causes the evaporative cooling of the surrounding atmosphere without condensation of the water mist. In the prior art the cooling any room or closed area is effected using air conditioners or blowers equipped with water circulation. Wall mounted or hanging fans are also used for reducing the temperature. In a tropical country like India, the reduction of surrounding temperature is a necessity considering the fact that the maximum temperatures in summer are -45 to 50 in certain cities.
While air conditioners are effective means for cooling, they are very costly not affordable to even middle class citizens, require costly power input and need expertise to install and maintain. Further they are also environmentally hazardous as they used various gases for cooling which are not environmentally friendly. The cooling fans, standing fans, or ceiling fans are also used for cooling however these do not effect any cooling but circulate the air in the surrounding area. The blowers or mist producing devices are also used for cooling. However these devices use water for cooling which is spread over the surrounding area after some time which render the surrounding area very moist and render it unfit to use within a short time. There is also a need to manage water levels in these devices. Therefore there is exists a need to improve the existing blowers or mist producing devices which overcomes the drawbacks mentioned hereinabove. The main object of the present invention is to provide improved mist cum fogging device for air conditioning which use water as cooling medium but which does not wet the surrounding area.
Another object is to provide a wall mounting or hanging device which does not moist the surrounding area and can effectively cool the atmosphere around the said device.
Still another object is to provide an economical, viable and workable alternative for the costly devices like air conditioners.
Summary of the invention
The present invention thus provides a wall mounting or hanging box type unit provided with a pressure pump for creating water pressure, nozzles or water cutter for producing mist and fog generation, a fan, and an exhaust fan for effective vaporization and exhaust hot air or control humidity. The unit is provided with an adjustable front grill/net capable of diverting the air flow towards upwards, downwards, sideways and front ways. The unit also has remote control for controlling water flow, controlling size of water droplets, controlling vaporization, humidity, wet control, fresh air control, moisture control along with high and low cooling effects. The unit is provided with Programmable LCD / digital cyclic timer. The unit is configured with LCD clock, Temperature and Humidity meter.

Working of the device
The device of the present invention can be installed on the window or wall mounted or hanged on the ceiling. When the unit is put on the fan (817) and pump (810) started and water is pressurized by a pump or plurality of pumps (810) through a or plurality of water cutters or mist generation adaptors (819) to generate water in to the form of mist (802) or small water droplets which are injected and directed by the diverted air flow of fan (817) by the air pressure and air flow diverting plate (818) or diversion of air by blowers (829, 830) in upwards direction to create a fog and some of air flow on three sides. This causes evaporation of the water droplets or mist. The water control valve (816) controls the water flow between pump (810) and mist generating adapter (819). By setting a pre set timer of cyclic timer (811 ) on the pump (810), the pump is started along with fan (817) and motor (824) rotation for hanging box fan unit only. When the unit is started with all these presets, the water is converted into the mist and the outside (fresh) air (803) blows along with mist or water droplets partials in the hot dry air in the surrounding area, the mist is effectively evaporated and the said surrounding area around the unit is cooled. When liquid water evaporates, energy is required to separate the water molecular bonds / mist particles which hold the water molecules close together in liquid form. This energy is removed from the nearby environment, whether that be the air or an object (Object means TV surface (804), chair surface, Bed (807), Floor (808), ceiling area wall & side wall) onto which the liquid water is attached. More water evaporates because more energy available but after some time as the energy required for evaporation is available in less abundance in the environment at that time the water and air are controlled by valve (816) and fan (817) and spray less water to adjust energy and water equivalent for effective evaporation. This cools not only the environment but the objects therein because of heat exchange. The mist disperses in the surrounding environment; some of very ultra fine mist evaporates immediately when mist and out side (fresh) air (803) enter in the room air. Some of bigger mist particles which are not completely evaporated may fall downwards like snow (Slow) rain. While they come down either they evaporate or become atmospheric vapor particles. (Water vapor is simply water (H20) in gaseous form). And this Atmospheric water vapor has many important effects on the climate of the room and produce changes in temperature, As a result, the air becomes more buoyant. As the warmer air is less dense than cooler air (805), the warmer air either goes out of the room if room window is open or thrown out by exhaust fan (821 ). When off time starts the cyclic timer relay on NC (7) and exhaust fan (821 ) starts and this warm air thrown out of the room while axial fan (817) stops with pump(s) (810) or mist (802). The device thus gives more pleasant experience and effective cooling of the environment without wetting the surroundings and the objects therein. The temperature and humidity controller (813) can be set to predetermined temperature. Once the predetermined temperature is nearing the preset temperature, the valves (816) and mist generation adaptors (819) control the water flow and the mist generation.
Advantages of the invention
The present invention provides an improved mist cum fogging device for cooling surrounding area which could be wall mounted, or a hanging device or can be retrofit from outside the wall.
1. The device provided by the present invention a novel air pressure and air flow diversion plate which is retro fit on device and also help to reduces noise of air pressure or at least a bower or a pair of blowers or cross flow fan(s) diverting the air pressure in upwards, downward and sideways so that the fog or mist created by the device is evaporated quickly so that the surrounding area does not get wet and costly electronic equipments like LCD, computers etc. are not damaged due to wetness.
