Description

DESCRIPTION
A SOLUTION USED IN THE TREATMENT OF HEMORRHOID
Technical Field
This invention is related to a hemorrhoid treatment solution that dissolves blood clots in hemorrhoid piles, reduces the size of hemorrhoid piles, provides instant and permanent pain relief in the hemorrhoid area, remedies irritations and cracks, helps facilitate defecation by relaxing the anal sphincter, arrests the progression of hemorrhoid and provides hygiene at the application zone by its antimicrobial formulation. This composition includes menthol, Lavandula stoechas extract, benzyl alcohol, methylene blue, propylene glycol and deionized water in a colored glass bottle with a spray head.
Prior Art
Hemorrhoids or piles, also known as "mayasil" and "babasil" in Turkey, are protuberances that grow out of swelling of venous networks under the mucosa membrane located on the anal duct or on the outside of anus. Hemorrhoid, which is a kind of varicose, is formed of protuberances are nodules comprised of arteries, veins and connective tissue which lump in the anal channel or hang out from anus. These occur due to the anal infections and abdominal pressure (pregnancy, straining, heavy lifting etc.) as well as chronic liver disease and tumors.
Often, the patients have complaints such as itching and burning in anus area. The condition causes a sensation of defecation and pain increases after defecation. The doctor can see the cracks on the anus during an examination. Additionally, the blood may clot in the vascular nodules formed due to hemorrhoid. The blood clotting is the main reason of pain. The other reasons of pain are anal sphincter pressure and constipation caused by this, as well as the Assuring that occurs during defecation and exposure of the irritable region to microbial factors. Next, a different type of tissue generates in this zone. This new tissue may get better sometimes, but generally a positive result is not expected.
Today a fiber-rich diet, consumption of prebiotics, sitting baths, and ointments containing zinc, nitroglycerin and cortisone are used to treat hemorrhoids. In advanced cases, the hemorrhoid nodules are destroyed via surgical intervention. However, most of the time medications cannot ensure total recovery, and only provide temporary relief. On the other hand surgical intervention carries the risk of harming adjacent organs, creating infections and hemorrhage, as well as persisting pain after the operation.
The Chinese patent document No. CN101773544 in the known state of the art relates to a method and a pharmaceutical drug for treatment of anorectal diseases. The medicine prepared for treatment of anorectal diseases contains raw materials such as sodium sulfite, menthol crystals and ethylene tetra acetic acid, ethanol, propylene glycol, deionized water and other similar materials. Sodium sulfite contracts capillaries, thus interrupting nutrient supply to lesion tissue and help dry out lesions. Menthol crystal helps relieve the pain with its crisp and cool effect. The Canadian patent document No. CA1266237A1 in the known state of the art relates to an herbal composition used for hemorrhoid treatment, which contains menthol, terpenes and camphor, and applicable to hemorrhoid area in liquid, cream, ointment, gel, pomade and various other forms.
The Turkish patent document No. 2011/06345 registered with Turkish Patent Office which in the known state of the art relates to a preparation and application process of an herbal composition which contain cyclamen and olive oil developed for treatment and prevent of hemorrhoid and rectum discomfort caused by sub- mucosal venous plexus varicose, as well as physical, chemical or microbial factors such as bacterium, fungus, virus etc. As explained above, all mixtures prepared for treatment of hemorrhoid with a small amount of menthol provide a temporary sense of coolness, and local anesthetic agents are used for temporary pain relief. However, these fail to provide reduction in hemorrhoid nodule size, relax anal sphincter, or arrest progression of hemorrhoid condition. Being in the form of pomades, creams or gels, the said mixtures fail provide practical usage. Generally lacking any antimicrobial active ingredients, these mixtures fail to provide hygiene and bacterial, fungal or viral infections can be encountered. Brief Description of the Invention
The purpose of this invention is to dissolve blood clots in hemorrhoid piles, reduce the size of hemorrhoid piles, provide instant and permanent pain relief in hemorrhoid area, remedy irritations and cracks, help facilitate defecation by relaxing anal sphincter, arrest the progression of hemorrhoid and provide hygiene on application zone by its antimicrobial formulation.
Another purpose of this invention is to provide practical usage by placement of mixture solution in spray form, thus rendering it applicable via spray without making it necessary to touch hemorrhoid nodule and relevant zone.
The composition developed for achieving the purpose of this invention contains menthol, Lavandula stoechas extract, benzyl alcohol and methylene blue.
Detailed Description of the Invention
The solution subject to this invention contains, 25% menthol, 12% Lavandula stoechas extract, 5% benzyl alcohol, 0.05% methylene blue, 35% propylene glycol, and 22.95% deionized water by weight.
The preferred method for production of the subject solution involves mixing 25g menthol, 12g of Lavandula stoechas extract, 5g benzyl alcohol, 0.05g methylene blue, 35g propylene glycol and 22.95g deionized water in a lOOg container. The menthol in solution composition provides comfort staring from the moment of application by masking the pain and itching via heat sensation. The blood clotting is one of the main reasons of pain. Menthol dissolved blood clots by accelerating blood circulation and provides hygiene by its antibacterial properties.
The Lavandula stoachas extract in solution composition relieves the anal sphincter. Stress on sphincter is one of the main reasons of pain. The pain is prevented by relieving this stress. The relaxation of sphincter under constipation stress prevents further irritation of hemorrhoid zone. Prevention irritation and curative cafe helps cure the cracks.
The benzyl alcohol in the solution composition helps to relieve pain by its local anesthetic effect. It ensures hygiene on application zone by its antimicrobial effect. It also prevents bacterial growth.
The methylene blue in solution composition provides hygiene by its antimicrobial effect. It gives the blue color of product. The propylene glycol in solution composition provides care and softening effect for hemorrhoid zone. It also has a solvent effect in the product mixture.
The deionized water in solution composition ensures homogeneous dissolution the active ingredients in solution composition.
In this case the values of the prepared solution should be implemented.
Application of subject solution, immediately relieves pain through the heat sensation effect of intense menthol and local anesthetic effect of benzyl alcohol. The blood clotting in hemorrhoid nodules is dissolved with accelerated blood circulation thanks to intense menthol effect, and thus the pain is permanently relieved by reduction of hemorrhoid nodule size. Lavandula stoechas extract provides relaxation of anal sphincter. Relaxation of anal sphincter facilitates defecation, prevents irritation and helps permanently relieve pain by removing another pain factor. The hygiene of hemorrhoid zone is ensured thanks to antimicrobial properties of methylene blue, menthol and benzyl alcohol. Addition of hygienic care also helps cure the cracks.
The subject solution is applicable without having to touch hemorrhoid nodules and relevant zone thanks to practical mode of usage provided by spray form.
The subject solution is offered in colored glass bottles or colored plastic bottles with a volume between 5ml and 500ml, which helps to protect the product from direct sunlight, thus prolonging product life.
