Abstract

The invention relates to a panel for high-resistance disassemblable floors having a double coupling system between adjacent panels to form continuous floors, said double coupling system consisting of mechanical interlocking devices on the lateral edges of the parallel long sides of the board, formed by respective T-shaped profiles corresponding to one another, and connection pins on the edges of the short sides of the lower base, one in the form of a protruding double horseshoe, and another having a corresponding groove entering into the opposing side. In combination with polypropylene strips introduced via the channels of the lateral edges, both joining means guarantee the perfect joining of the boards in a single row and simultaneously between adjacent rows of boards, both on the horizontal plane and vertically in relation to the floor, forming a floor block that is resistant to the fluctuations and loads for which it is designed to be used.

Description

DESCRIPCION  DESCRIPTION
Panel for high strength removable floors. - The object of the present invention is a panel for the installation of removable high resistance floorboards, such as stage floors or sports courts, composed of a plurality of equal panels arranged in adjacent rows, which can have a character of Provisional use thanks to the ability of the panel to be assembled and disassembled quickly and easily without compromising its functionality.
ESTADO DE LA TÉCNICA.- The panel consists of a rectangular board with a layer of foam on the face that must serve as a base, which incorporates at the ends of the table new mechanized means of tongue and groove coupling between equal panels, constituted by two interlocking pieces embedded in the edges sides of the two long sides of the board, conveniently molded for mid-wood joint, consisting of T-shaped profiles with grooved tongue-and-groove wings complementary to opposite side profiles to allow a molded-alternating tongue and groove connection between row panels adjacent, two gutters in the wood of the edges of the parallel short sides of the board, between both ends of the T profiles, and two clamping pins, rectangular in shape with complementary ends of double horseshoe spring-grooved, fixed to the base of the board next to the edges of its parallel short sides, of which protrude say chos ends to enable a simple tongue and groove hitch between panels of the same row. These structural characteristics of the tongue and groove system between panels of related rows, not only in combination with the lower clamping pins of panels of the same row, the cross-sectional separation of the boards, but also by the action of strips of polymeric material introduced by the internal channels created between said panels, as a consequence of the lateral gutters of each panel, the vertical movements of the panels are annulled and the wear of the profiles is reduced after successive assemblies and disassembly, achieving more stable and durable flooring in comparison with the other known means of tongue and groove coupling between panels with integrated mechanical interlocking devices. TECHNICAL FIELD.- The technical field in which the invention is framed is that of floor coverings, more specifically, of floor coverings with floorboards or floating laminates with mechanical joint systems between component panels. STATE OF THE TECHNIQUE.-
The floating wooden floor covering consists of wooden boards or boards that are coupled in parallel rows above the support without being glued or nailed to it. In the case of a residential flooring, there are frequent boards with pavement or parquet tread area, while the platforms that need to support larger loads are formed by long boards that exceed 3 m in length. Although the classic or parquet flooring has traditionally been made of solid wood nailed to rastreles, the current floating platforms are usually multilayer systems, which is known as floating laminate flooring, where the different layers can be made of wood or synthetic, for example of a decorative surface layer formed by a printed sheet impregnated with stratified paper to a wood fiber core.
This kind of floor covering with floorboards or floating laminates is usually constructed by means of tongue and groove joints with glue, that is, joints between boards with a prominent tongue or rib on one long side and one short side, and a complementary groove or groove in opposite sides, extending the two tabs and two grooves over the entire length of the respective board edges, and on which an adhesive is applied to the grooves before coupling. As a general rule, tables are laid in parallel rows, short side against short side between tables of the same row, and long side against long side between adjacent rows.
However, the floorboards described suffer from known drawbacks. The most important is that once the floor is assembled, it cannot be disassembled without damaging the boards, which means that they cannot be reused once they are lifted. Another drawback, caused by the tight fit between the groove and the tongue, is that it is not always easy to insert the tongues into the corresponding grooves, and tools must be used to adjust the boards to impacts that can damage them. In addition, an adhesive must be used to secure the tongue and groove joints, which is very laborious and time consuming. Obviously, these drawbacks make it impossible to use traditional floating wooden floor coverings in the installation of portable high-resistance floorboards such as those intended by the present invention, of the type scenarios for shows or tracks for sports activities.
To solve this problem, about ten or fifteen years ago floor boards were developed that do not require the use of glue, but instead are mechanically joined by means of mechanical interlocking systems. These systems consist of integrating in the body of the boards, through their lateral edges, mechanized metal elements with recesses and flanges to constitute the tongue and groove coupling means. The boards are manufactured with these mechanized means incorporated at their ends, and are joined by tongue and groove in a similar way to the traditional board system to form floors of rows of parallel boards, short side with short side within the same row, and long side with long side between adjacent rows, but in an easier, faster and more precise way, and with the possibility of lifting the boards once installed and reusing them in another place.
The PCT international patent application with publication number WO198604A1, of the year 2001, for a table for floors with tongue and groove coupling means, defines very well the state of the art until then known about soil installation by means of mechanical interlocking systems between component boards, since this patent tries to solve the deficiencies detected in the coupling of the boards of the first systems of this type, disclosed by patents numbers US3859000 and DE3343601A1, based on lateral heads of alternate tongue and groove coupling, in which, according to set forth in said PCT publication, the connection between panels provides a positive adjustment joint only in a direction parallel to the ground plane, but not in a direction vertical to the plane, which can cause decoupling in situations of, for example, a substrate uneven support on which the ground rests. The table for floors object of the aforementioned international patent application is provided with coupling means on its four lateral sides, by means of an improved design of molded alternate tongue and groove between adjacent boards, which avoids the commented instability in the vertical plane to the floor of the systems previous. However, this table is designed for wooden floors for residential or commercial use, such as parquet palms, not being useful for floors that have to support large loads, constituted by removable boards and platforms that usually exceed 3 m in length, where the dimensioning on site does not justify working the four edges.
With the present invention, a panel of the type to the previous ones has been developed, that is, with mechanical interlocking means between similar panels, but with structural characteristics that allow it to be sized in large sizes to be applied in the installation of removable floors intended for withstand significant efforts and loads, such as stages for shows, dance floors or sports courts. This panel has mechanical interlocking means only on the edges of the long lateral sides for the connection between rows of adjacent panels, according to a novel design of metal profiles for alternate tongue and groove coupling molded with the coplanar insertion tables, which offers a wide surface of contact between panels in avoidance of vertical movements and unwanted disappearances, and it has some grooves in the form of a channel made in the edges of the short lateral sides, provided for the insertion of strips or securing rods between adjacent panels, together with pins special fasteners in the lower base of said short sides, which is covered with polyurethane foam for a better surface settlement of the panel, all as explained in detail below.
COMPENDIO DE LA INVENCIÓN.- The panel is considered an invention, because apart from the fact that no other similar one is known, after several searches carried out in the SPTO's database of inventions, which includes all patents and utility models, and applications for patents and utility models , which are being published with effects in Spain, only the European patent with validation number in Spain ES2305079T3, from the commented PCT international application WO198604A1, and also the European patent ES2265571 T5, for a floor covering have been found as relevant background with a very different interlocking system between panels. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION.-
As already mentioned, the panel for removable floors of high resistance object of the present application of utility model, is of the type of modular panel constituted by a plank or board of flat, elongated and rectangular wood, which has mechanized means of tongue and groove coupling on the edges of at least two parallel sides, each with the tongue and groove complementary projections, to connect to other equal panels to form a floor according to rows of adjacent panels, in which the panels of the same row are attached or interconnected short side with short side, and adjacent row panels are joined or interconnected, usually alternately, side long with long side of the board.
The novelty and technical advantage of the panel lies in the tongue and groove coupling means incorporated therein, consisting of two T-shaped metal profiles with tongue-and-groove wings complementary to each other, inserted along the long sides of the board, by paths channel-shaped grooves of rectangular section made along the short sides of the board, intended to accommodate settling rods between panels, and by rectangular metal pins fixed to the underside of the board next to the edges of the short sides, one with a protrusion in the form of a double flat-bottomed horseshoe and one with a complementary recess, as well as by a layer of foam adhered to the base of the table, conveniently cut so as not to cover said side joining pins, which is an integral part of the panel, as a single structural element.
The aforementioned mechanical interlocking means integrated in the sides of two long sides of the panel component board, are two metal profiles, preferably of aluminum, although they could also be made of polypropylene or a similar polymeric material, which are in the shape of a T with the soul of Rectangular cross-section and tongue-and-groove wings, complementary to each other, inserted along the previously molded edges for a flat galvanized joint or half-wood, inlet-outgoing edge one side, outgoing-incoming edge opposite side, by whose center they are embedded both profiles through the central core, in such a way that the tongue protrudes in the middle of the projecting edge and the groove is inserted in the middle of the incoming edge of each side of the board, the two long sides of the panel being prepared for molded tongue and groove interconnection - alternate with adjacent row panels. The profiles have perimeter wrinkles in the form of saw teeth to prevent them from coming out once inserted in the table.
In the technical design of the lateral tongue and groove coupling means between adjacent panels, great importance has been given to the geometry of the interlocking heads of the long sides of the board, that is, to the shape of the complementary groove-tongue wings, tightening the tabs of each piece to have several surfaces of support in front of unwanted vertical movement of the panels once installed, and to avoid disappearances by the wear of the aluminum with the successive assemblies and disassembly. This novel design of the heads of the tongue-and-groove profiles, which is largely due to the great resistance of the panel, is that in the profile to be positioned with the tongue next to the lower face of the panel, the tongue protrudes laterally along the middle of the protruding edge of the long lateral side of the board obliquely to the plane of its upper face, to the level of the mid-wood joint, in the form of an inverted thumb, and the groove opens from the beginning from the tongue towards the inside of the panel in an oblique direction to its upper face, to a depth equal to half of the tongue, in the form of an inverted half thumb, while the profile to be positioned with the tongue next to the face upper panel, is complementary in the form of the tongue-groove to the piece of the opposite side side, except at the angle of separation of the tongue-groove, which is obtuse against the concave angle of the op profile laid, leaving an intermediate rhombohedral cavity between interconnected panels of adjacent rows that facilitates assembly-disassembly operations.
The gutters of rectangular section (14) made in the wood of the edges of the parallel short sides of the board, run along the entire side between the ends of the metal profiles (3) of the parallel long sides, in such a way, that in union with adjacent panels of the same row, they create an inner channel between adjacent panels that allows to accommodate a rod or longitudinal strip of polypropylene or other similar plastic material.
The pins of the board for tongue and groove joint between short sides of adjacent panels of the same row, are metal plates, ideally also of aluminum, rectangular in shape with a protruding spring in the form of a double flat-bottomed horseshoe on one of said sides of the panel, and complementary incoming groove on the opposite side. These plates have two lugs on their straight side and two holes on the coupling side, for positioning through the lugs, which are introduced into two holes made in the wood, and mechanical screw-nut fixing, through the holes, to the lower face or base of the board by the intermediate point next to the edges of its parallel short sides, the male pin protruding from the corresponding edge in sufficient distance for simple tongue and groove engagement with the female pin of the adjacent panel.
PLANOS Y DIBUJOS.- This double tongue and groove coupling system of the panel, by means of mechanical interlocking devices on the side edges of the parallel long sides of the board, and connecting pins by the edges of the short sides of its lower base in combination with the polypropylene strips introduced by the channel formed between the gutters of the corresponding lateral edges, guarantees the perfect union of the boards within a same row and at the same time between rows of adjacent boards, both horizontally and vertically to the ground, forming a block of ground resistant to the swings and loads for which its use is planned. The panel is supplied with the base of the board covered with the commented layer of polyurethane foam, or of a similar flexible and porous plastic material, uniformly distributed over its entire surface, but cut around the rectangular pins of the edges of lower short sides so as not to hinder the installation and uninstallation of the panels. This layer of foam of variable thickness, which is integrated in the structure of the panel, allows to save the irregularities of the support in the installation of the floor, favoring the stability of the puzzle of panels in front of the vertical movement, dampens the sound of the blows against the parquet resulting, and even serves as a thermal insulator of the pavilions and enclosures where it is arranged. Figure 4: Detailed plan view and elevation of the hooks located next to the lower edge of the short sides of the panel, one on each side. PREFERRED EMBODIMENT.- In view of the previous figures, it can be seen that the floor panel in question, shown as a whole in Figure 2, and which is used for the installation of removable flooring floors such as those shown in Figure 1, formed by a plurality of panels according to adjacent rows, where panels of the same row (1) are connected short side with short side, and those of adjacent rows (2) long side with long side alternately, is basically constituted by a horizontal board with layer of lower polyurethane foam (22), which incorporates machined tongue and groove coupling means between connected panels at the ends of the table, consisting of two T-shaped aluminum profiles (3) with tongue-and-groove wings embedded in the side edges of the two long sides (7) of the board, conveniently molded for mid-wood joint and with complementary tongue-and-groove geometry between pieces of opposite sides to allow a connection Molded-alternating tongue and groove ion between adjacent row panels, two rectangular section gutters (14) made in the wood of the edges of the parallel short sides of the board, between the ends of both T profiles, intended to serve as a housing for strips or rods made of polypropylene, and two rectangular aluminum pins (10) with complementary ends of spring-grooved horseshoe, fixed to the base of the board next to the edges of its parallel short sides (14), of which protrude through said ends to enable a simple tongue and groove hitch between panels of the same row. It should be noted that the foam layer of the lower face of the panel is uniformly distributed over its entire surface, except in the area of the short-sided edges occupied by said longitudinal joint pins, where it is conveniently trimmed to facilitate assembly-disassembly of the panels, and that the materials of the profiles and / or coupling pins may vary, between metallic and polymeric.
The technical detail features of the tongue and groove coupling elements of the panel, such as the complementary geometry of the tongue-and-groove profiles of the long sides of the board, or the gutters and pins of the short sides, are perfectly described in reference to the figures in the set of claims at the end of the present specification, a repetition thereof not being necessary.
The coupling elements of the panel are fixed to it during its manufacture. The interlocking profiles (3) are milled directly on the edges of the long sides of the board (7), although it is convenient to apply an adhesive in the formed recess before introducing the soul of the profile, which as seen is provided with cross roughnesses to ensure its positioning. Take care that the slot heads- tab of the profiles are in coplanar arrangement between both sides. The metal pins (10) are fixed next to the short parallel edges of the base of the board, inserting them in holes made for this purpose in the board through the rear lugs (13), and securing them by screwing in the front holes. The arrangement of lugs on the pins is important because it allows their correct positioning, in order to avoid errors in the floor installation process.
Fixed the coupling means on the panel board, also in the factory adheres on the face that the polyurethane foam layer (22) should be used as a base, taking care not to cover the lower pins.
The assembly process of the panels thus configured in the installation of the floorboards is simple. First, a certain number of panels of a first row are mounted, by tongue and groove engagement of the spring-groove pins (10) of adjacent short sides. In this operation, polypropylene strips or rods specially designed for this type of floor must be used, which must be placed between the panels of the same row (1), specifically in the space between the gutters (14) of the lateral sides short of adjacent boards, these rods being hidden by the upper surface of the boards and lower base of the foam blocks of related panels, butt joined. The aforementioned rods have the purpose of keeping the panels aligned within the row, allowing in turn a planimetry in the heads of the interlocking profiles.
Once a first row of panels is installed, connected short side with short side, successive panels are connected through the coupling profiles of the long side sides of the boards, which in turn are hooked by their short sides of the indicated way to form the successive rows of adjacent panels, and create the floor. Two adjacent row panels are anchored by obliquely inserting the tongue-and-groove head protruding from the long side of the incoming panel, into the coplanar groove-tongue head of the horizontally installed panel, and pressing the incoming panel down, until the perfect tongue and groove coupling long side with long side of the board.
The process of dismantling the ground is just as simple, but vice versa. In the end there are the components that make up the floor separately: a plurality of invention panels, as many alignment boards, and several screws and rivets, all ready to be packed and transported for a new high-resistance parquet installation.
