Abstract

ABSTRACT This document details two aspects of a single invention aimed at controlling access to the content of safe deposit boxes, both aspects being based on the control and analysis of electrodermic activity data generated in response to an audiovisual stimulus 5 sent to a user who wishes to access the content of the receptacle of the safe deposit box. Said stimulus is displayed on a screen preferably located on a lid of the box, such that once the username and password data are entered said stimulus is generated and the user's reaction to the stimulus is captured by means of a sensor. Once said reaction has been captured, it is compared with a database that comprises data 0 relating to the electrodermic activity of users to verify the username and enable the aperture of the box.

Description

SAFE DEPOSIT BOX AND METHOD FOR ACCESSING THE SAME
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a safety mechanism for protecting elements housed in safe deposit boxes, wherein said mechanism uses electrodermic safety signals as a safety measure, which are generated by a visual, auditory or audiovisual stimulus.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
In the current state safety in boxes (transport, food and objects, and also safe deposit boxes), they are very unsafe due to the fact that their safety mechanism is easy to violate, since the information for accessing them is based on administrative credentials such as, for example: user/password, bolts or locks.
Patent number US8068932B2, granted to Kirsinger, discloses a receptacle for a storage system which has a regulated access control as a safety mechanism, wherein its design demonstrates that there are various compartments for storing different objects. The objects inside the receptacle are accessed through a touch screen.
Patent number US7486810B1 , granted to Accapadi, discloses the assignment of virtual keyboards as a biometric digital fingerprint collection mechanism. The process works as follows: each key of the virtual keyboard will be assigned a biofield that collects information on digital fingerprints, the stroke delay of each key is recorded and these values are compared to the previous data in a training stage.
Patent application US2013/0109930A1 , by Ermoza, includes a system for verifying the identity of a person. This system provides at least one characteristic of the subject analysed, to which end a surface for the hand of the subject is used which contains a series of sensors of physiological parameters, the information collected by the system is analysed through a computer application which provides a response that will confirm the identity of the person.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a new safety method based on electrodermic signals that are emitted on receiving some type of visual stimulus to protect the content of a receptacle. In another aspect of the invention there is a safe deposit box that makes it possible to implement the method of the invention.
The ultimate purpose of the invention in any of its aspects is to protect the content of a safety receptacle controlling the access to the interior thereof using an access control system so that only the owner or authorised person may access the content.
To this end, this document details a safety box or device that can be installed in a box based on the individual's electrodermic activity, allowing them to be jointly implemented and in a password and username-based access system for box protection.
The object of the present invention makes it possible to provide a high level of security which is based on keystroke biometric data generated by the user after receiving a stimulus that may be visual, audiovisual, auditory or a sequential combination thereof. Said electrodermic signals of the user while interacting with the user interface on seeing the stimuli..
Another object of the invention is to create a safe and efficient access method, wherein there are no elements easy to obtain and/or forge, as in the case of systems based on digital fingerprints.
DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
In order to complement the description being made and with the object of helping to better understand the characteristics of the invention, in accordance with a preferred embodiment thereof, said description is accompanied, as an integral part thereof, by a set of drawings where, in an illustrative and non-limiting manner, the following has been represented:
Figure 1. Shows a front view of the safe deposit box of an aspect of the invention. Figure 2. Shows a plan view of the safe deposit box of an aspect of the invention. Figure 3. Shows a side view of the safe deposit box of an aspect of the invention. Figure 4. Shows a diagram representing the method of the invention. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
In a possible embodiment of the invention there is a safe deposit box (1) such as that observed in figure 1 and which shows a box (2) open on its upper part, a lid (3) intended for covering the box (1), thereby closing the box; wherein an articulation (8) joins the lid (3) and the box (2) such that the lid (3) closes the box (2) on being folded along one of the sides of the box (2). The box (1) is equipped with a processing unit (not shown in the figures) whereto a screen (4), preferably located on the lid (3) and intended for displaying visual content, a keyboard (5) intended for allowing data input and preferably located on the lid (3), and a biometric sensor (6), preferably located on the lid (3) and intended for capturing electrodermic activity data by means of contact with a user who wishes to access the interior of the receptacle (2) of the box (1) are connected. Eventual access is allowed through means for controlling the aperture of the box (1) intended for allowing the aperture of the lid providing access to the receptacle and which are preferably located in the articulation (8).
In order for the box (1) to function in an adequate and optimal manner, it is equipped with an autonomous power supply defined by a battery and having a memory associated with the processing unit (not shown in the figures). An electrodermic activity database can be housed in said memory, although said databases can be housed in data storage means accessible by the processing unit.
Therefore, access to the box (1) is controlled and managed by the processing unit in order to, by means of its interaction, proceed to enter username and password data on the keyboard (5) located on the lid (3) in order to, subsequently and upon identifying the user, generate a stimulus perceptible by the use who wishes to access the receptacle (2) of the box (1) by means of the screen (4) located on the lid (3).
After having done this, electrodermic biometric data are captured by means of the biometric sensor (6) intended to capture electrodermic activity-related data by means of contact with the user who wishes to access the receptacle (2) of the box (1) when it is under the effect of the stimulus generated on the screen (4). Once the electrodermic biometric data have been captured said electrodermic biometric data are compared with electrodermic activity data of the user previously recorded and stored in the electrodermic activity database. Access is subsequently completed on actuating the aperture control means of the box (1) intended for enabling the aperture of the lid (3), providing access to the box (2), when the electrodermic activity data coincide with the electrodermic activity of the user previously recorded and stored in the electrodermic activity databases.
