The invention relates to personal conveyances specially adapted for patients or disabled persons. A multifunctional wheelchair comprising a wheel-mounted base, a vertical post which is mounted on the base and is provided with a handle for moving the wheelchair, and a vertical carriage with a drive, which is disposed inside the hollow of the post, said carriage bearing a cantilever arm, connected thereto, and being mounted on a system of wheels which comprises upper and lower groups of supporting wheels, disposed on different sides of the axis of the post. At least one of the wheels mounted on the base is a driving wheel. A frame with a removable seat is fastened to the base or the post. The cantilever arm has a longitudinal carriage mounted thereon, which is connected to straps and a hanger. The seat is adapted for lifting and moving a patient. The technical result is that of facilitating standing up from or sitting down in a wheelchair and moving in the wheelchair both indoors and outdoors; enabling movement from the wheelchair onto a chair, into a bathtub or onto a toilet and vice versa; and making it possible to lift a physically handicapped person from a lying position to a sitting or vertical position, or to lower the person to their original position.
