1. An apparatus, comprising:
- a computer allowing a user to designate a telephone number of a text enabled telephone; and
- a call system transmitting a text message to the text enabled telephone with the text message comprising a callback telephone number of the user, receiving a callback telephone call from a telephone network and presenting the callback telephone call to the user at the computer.
2. An apparatus as recited in claim 1, wherein the computer comprises one of a personal computer, a PDA computer, a computer running a computer assisted telephone application.
3. An apparatus as recited in claim 1, further comprising a voice mail server.
4. An apparatus as recited in claim 1, wherein the computer is connected to a packet switched network and the call system comprises:
- a VoIP gateway connected to a communication network;
- an a voice media server connected to the gateway;
- a call client connected to the media server and the packet switched network;
- a web application connected to the call client and the media server;
- a database connected to the web application;
- a roster manager connected to the database; and
- a buddy server connected to the roster manager and the packet switched network
5. An apparatus as recited in claim 1, wherein the message comprises a multimedia message.
6. An apparatus as recited in claim 1, wherein the message comprises a personal message from the user.
7. An apparatus, comprising:
- a personal computer connected to a packet switched network allowing a user to designate a telephone number of a multimedia enabled telephone;
- a call system transmitting a multimedia message to the multimedia enabled telephone with the text message comprising a callback telephone number of the user and a personal message from the user, receiving a callback telephone call from a telephone network and presenting the callback telephone call to the user at the computer, said system comprising
- a VoIP gateway connected to a public switched telephone network;
- an a voice media server connected to the gateway;
- a call client connected to the media server and the packet switched network;
- a web application connected to the call client and the media server;
- a database connected to the web application;
- a roster manager connected to the database; and
- a buddy server connected to the roster manager and the packet switched network; and
- a voice mail server connected to the public switched telephone network
8. A database, comprising:
- a cellular telephone number field for a cellular telephone to receive a callback text message;
- an internet protocol address field for an internet protocol address of a user to receive the call back from the cellular telephone number; and
- a system telephone number field for a system telephone number of the user to receive a call back from the cellular telephone number for the address.
9. A database as recited in claim 8, further comprising a channel field for a VoIP channel of the call back call to the user.
10. A database as recited in claim 8, further comprising a status filed for an online status of the user.
11. A database as recited in claim 8, further comprising a carrier field for a carrier identifier for identifying a specification of the message.
12. A database as recited in claim 8, further comprising personal information field for identifying personal information of the user to be used in the call back call
