The reflector is constructed of transparent material and has a plurality of cube-corner reflector elements at the rear and a light-receiving face at the front. Each of the reflector elements has an element axis and a cube axis with an angle other than 0° therebetween. Each of the reflector elements has an outline in the shape of a regular polygon when projected in a plane perpendicular to the element axis. The faces of each element are symmetrically arranged with respect to the cube axis. The element axes of the reflector elements are all parallel to one another.
