Información de esta película

Kenji Watanabe has not missed a day in a working-life spanning 30 years - his proudest achievement. But on discovering he has cancer, Watanabe decides it is time he took his life into his own hands, to enjoy what time he has left, and perhaps time to leave an impression. Regarded by many as director Akira Kurosawa's urban masterpiece, without a sword in sight, Ikiru is a moving portrait of one man's search for happiness. © 1952 Toho Co., Ltd. All Rights Reserved.

An important and beautiful film about standing up and making an impact with your life. This is the second Kurosawa film I have watched and I am now learning why he is so influential as a film director. There are many stunning shots in this film that speak so much of the story through a certain angle or camera movement. There are some scenes in particular that could be described as hauntingly beautiful. This film really has left a strong impression with me. It is a piece of poetry with some very memorable and inspirational messages. I loved this film and would recommend it to anyone looking to be motivated and has the patience for an older and longer film.
