Great product and efficient service

This is the third year in a row where I have subscribed Magzter. I really find their gold plan value for money. With access to a wide range of publications and news papers it's an ideal solution for my need to stay updated. Also have experienced prompt support to resolve a payment issue that caused a duplicate charge. Overall very happy with the service and product. Kudos..!

Brilliant service

I recently subscribed to Magzter Gold and am very satisfied. All the magazines and newspapers I read are available and quickly updated with new editions. I had to contact the helpdesk once and received a very friendly response in less than an hour, with the assurance that my problem was sorted out (my mistake - I misspelled an email address).

Watch charges made on your account

Ordered a one year subscription to Magzter Gold on November 12, 2023 at cost of $99.99. Six days later Magzter started billing me for $9.99 per MONTH and continues to charge $9.99 per MONTH. Could not find actual costs on website. Clicking "Manage your subscription" takes you to a page that no longer exists. Would have ended up costing me over $200 per year had I not brought the double billing to their attention. Finally found email address for customer service so sent message asking about charges. Got response telling me subscriptions are auto renewal unless cancelled and that refund was being issued for the 3 monthly charges. No apologies or explanations, but did get refund. Great site if you like to read a lot of magazines, but I am canceling when the year subscription expires because I find I just don’t use it enough.

Had a trouble with app,customer support was great

I had trouble with iPhone app, like I could not find subscription plan without family sharing after I cancelled free subscription and tried to subscribe a plan without family sharing again.

Though all problem were solved with customer support. -1 is for app.

There are lots of mentions for Christy, who was amazing and my support as well,are there other customer support?

I subscribed “Mollie Makes” I used to read stopped to issue its app in Japan. If you speak English with no problem,you will have no problems.

Happy customer

I have always been very happy with the Magzter App and the selection of magazines available here in South Africa. The real test for me is how a company responds when there are issues. I can only say that Christy from the Magzter support team is amazing. She was quick to respond, professional and arranged fixing the problem within a very reasonable time. Can highly recommend. Not sure why there are reviews saying this is a scam ... not my experience at all and I have been using Magzter for years.

Excellent for News and Mags

I've been a Magzter user for many many years now. The magazines and newspapers available are excellent and I always find what I'm looking for to read. The quality of the app is also very very good and extremely easy to use. I renew my subscription annually and Customer service have always responded to my queries very promptly, including my recent interaction with them. My experience with Magzter over the years have been very satisfying and a Happy one.

A Mag With No Lag!

The online "delivery" of the magazine I subscribe to has always been on time and relatively trouble free. When I ran into a problem with a renewal, they were prompt, helpful and fixed the issue in less than a day.

The one thing I would suggest is being able to store a credit card on their site instead of having to renew and re-enter the details every year. An auto renewal option would be helpful.

Eventually problem resolved…

Eventually problem resolved satisfactorily. However,was a bit alarmed that Magzter had to ask me to send them copies of info they had sent me(invoices etc) to solve problem.
A “technical glitch” was blamed. (People very courteous,by the way

Scammers hiding behind legitimacy

Started a free trial from a bundle purchase.

Ending the subscription had as many dark patterns as possible. Canceling either led to a 404 or just a blank page as if it couldn’t load.

I continue to receive emails for offers, despite initially unsubscribing, and the unsubscribe link in every email always leads to a page that goes nowhere.

Absolute terrible company with nothing but dark patterns to trick you in every which way. Avoid these degenerate scammers.

Scammers

Scammers! Automatic renewals by default with no chances of refunds (as stated in Terms and Conditions). Wonder how it aligns with European Consumer Rights (I'll TLDR it for you - it doesn't). Subscription management made as hard as possible (you have to send them emails i.e. push and pull with them).

One of my use cases - payed a year subscription, magazine stopped issuing, can't get a refund, and of course, they tried to renew it (if bought via Apple Store, you have to manually cancel it from your Apple account, otherwise, they'll charge you for non existing mag infinitely).

Stay away!!!

Customer Support team has done excellent job.

Customer Support team has done wonderful job. They suggested the remedy for my iPad configuration. They collected data from my iPad (screen shots) and analysed it. Then suggested the solution. (which is beyond expectation). Most of the customer support teams will simply say there is problem with iPad. Every customer is not computer savvy. They helped me.

WASTE OF PRECIOUS TIME

THOUSANDS OF OTP VERIFICATION STEPS FOR PHONE, E-MAIL, ETC. AS IF IT'S SOME IMPORTANT GOVERNMENTAL ORGANISATION. AS IF WE PEOPLE HAVE NO OTHER WORK TO DO.

Pleased with subscription

I have a three-year subscription. I'm pleased with it. There is a variety of health, gardening, and home improvement magazines that I enjoy reading. There drawbacks, however. There are some magazines that are inappropriate and geared toward an adult audience. I was about to cancel my subscription. I didn't want to see them, even as popups. Then, I found a way to block them on my settings and changed it. Also, you need to change the language to English. Some issues are from years ago. Overall, I'm happy with my subscription.
