Bodegas Luis de la Peña García is located in the town of Uruñuela, in the area of La Rioja Alta. This family winery has been working in the production of red wines for three generations, since 1970. What makes Bodegas Luis de la Peña special is that it only sells its wines in the Bag in Box format.

How does the Bag In Box work?

The Bag in Box system is a type of packaging that provides different benefits, such as lightness, good preservation of wine or savings in space and price, all without losing in the quality of the products.

The Bag in Box packaging allows the properties of the wine to be preserved intact for much longer. This is achieved thanks to a vacuum system whereby the bag containing the wine shrinks while the product is consumed.

In addition, it is one of the most environmentally friendly systems. This is due both to its low pollutant emissions during production, and to its ease of recycling once the wine is finished.

Bodegas Luis de la Peña García exclusively uses this type of system that helps maintain the nuances, aromas and flavors of their wines from the first day to the last, allowing you to enjoy their wines for longer (from 6 to 8 weeks since opening).

The main varieties grown in the vineyards of Luis de la Peña García, located in the area of Uruñuela, are Tempranillo and Garnacha (Grenache).

Thanks to the use of these red grape varieties for the production of the wines, a high content of resveratrol is achieved, a natural substance of the grapes that provides healthy effects for people.

Bodegas Luis de la Peña García has two different types of red wine, both made mostly from the Tempranillo variety. One of them is the Luis de la Peña Tinto Joven (young wine), and the other the Luis de la Peña Tinto Especial (roble), which are available in formats of both 5 and 15 liters.
