Through rigorous experimentation and observation, Alhazen explored the principles of optics, including reflection, refraction, and the behavior of light. Isaac Newton conducted groundbreaking experiments with prisms that demonstrated that white light is composed of a spectrum of colors. He developed the theory of color based on the decomposition of light and proposed that light consists of particles (light corpuscles) in his book "Opticks".
