“THE FILIPINO IS WORTH DYING FOR...”

Its been 30 years after the EDSA Revolution ends. It is the heart of Filipino who fight and sacrifice for the freedom and for the betterment of our country. The 1986 EDSA Revolution or also known as People Power Revolution, was very important event in Philippines history. It wasn’t easy to live before to those Filipinos undergo the management of President Marcos. Before there’s no democracy at all. It was a dictatorial ruled by President Marcos under the martial law and it wasn’t good for the Filipino. And it was lead to the bloodless EDSA REVOLUTION. Many people were afraid that it might be their last day against those soldiers with a high powered guns. But still many Filipino joined the revolution because they want President Marcos to leave his position to bring back what our country would it be. The Death of Sen. Ninoy Aquino is one of the reasons to make this event happened. And convinced his wife Cory Aquino to run for president and won the snap election. Many people said that president Marcos steal votes from Aquino though the truth behind the issue can never be told. Tanks, high powered guns, and strong soldiers was barricading the Malacanang, protecting the president and his family. When Marcos decided to leave his position that was the time the revolution ended. Many Filipino were filled with joy in their heart and they gained the democracy they longed. There are many reasons and effects when President Marcos implemented the Martial law. Some of the negative effects of it is that the freedom of the Filipino citizen to express their thought and their power was banished. Despite all the danger and risk, Filipino still fight for their rights as a democratic country. As the time passed, the Filipino proved their patriotism to our country. For the new generation or for the youth today we should always remember those hardships of our country and may serve as our inspiration to keep the unity and peace to our beloved country.

There people who are still afraid. They are afraid of enrile being the defense secretary of the Philippine Military. The same man who served Marcos. Since Cory Aquino came from a wealthy family, they are afraid that the poor were still poor and the rich were still in charge.

Yellow is not really the favorite color of the late President Corazon Aquino. It’s just came from the song, “Tie a yellow ribbon” that is used for Ninoy’s homecoming that she developed a fancy for the color. Since Marcos’ power are never effective to the country. He is sure that the people will take revenge after of what he did. So he decided to flee to guam with his family. He is fled his country like a frightened dog.

The Philippines is holding a record of a bloodless revolution.

EDSA

THE ORIGINAL PEOPLE POWER REVOLUTION Before, the Philippines was the Southeast Asia’s flag-bearer for democracy. The people are the one to decide for selecting government leaders since 1946. its history during the 1986 EDSA Revolution, showed how the Filipinos could defeat Marcos’ regime. It was a period of democratic high in the Philippines that inspired many people in the country and in other places. This democratic country is indeed impaired. The Philippines is now viewed as an “EDSA State”. And has became a victim of corrupt governance, electoral fraud and poverty. And this was happening until this time. The way they brought back Joseph Estrada in the politics after they replicate the EDSA Revolution to expel him from his position as the president. When they brought back Gloria Arroyo in politics after she was suspected for doing an Electoral fraud. And Imelda Marcos and her son hold significant government positions. Vote-buying and electoral violence has increased from time to time. The Filipino people are just using their right in a nonsense things. They are not only making themselves a victim of poverty but also the other Filipinos. And with this, we can say that they are the reason of the poverty of this country. And soon, this democratic country will become a mockery of Democracy. But, there are also who are protesting and expressing themselves regarding this issue and their rights. Thankfully we the social media. This helps us to express our thoughts which also give us the confidence and awareness. Before we are just an ignorant people who obeys and obeys the political leaders although we know of how fraud they are. It is because, we are afraid. EDSA Revolution opened us the idea of fighting for ourselves, fighting as one and being butting in for some political issues for it is our right. We all know how brave Filipinos are. Its just that sometimes we are anxious. But of course, it is normal for all of us, it is not bad. What matters the most is we fight and not let any bad influences win. We have already proven them how united and strong we are. So let us make our rights a worth it one. Let us be smart in choosing our leader for it will benefit us and our Country. Let us not become reluctant in expressing ourselves especially if it helps. Let us not waist this right and remember how we fought for it. Do we want to lose it again? Do we want our family to suffer again?

THE RISE

OF THE NOYPI STARRING: FERDINAND

MARCOS

But first who is Ferdinand Marcos? In mid-1980's a popular movement sprang up to oust the corrupt Philippine dictator Ferdinand Marcos. Many states outside us are asking and wondering why did it came to the point that there are military officers defected from the government and sequestered themselves inside a Manila military base and as well as civilians fighting against Marcos leadership. But the true essence of the revolt is not to shred any blood but fight for what is good and for human principle for thousands and million of people being oppressed by the government Nonviolent struggle as hundreds of thousands of ordinary Filipinos is evident during this historic event in the Philippines.

Ferdinand Edralin Marcos and also known as Ferdinand Marcos was born in September 11, 1917 at Sarrat, Philippines and died in September 28,1989at Honolulu, Hawaii, U.S. Before he enters politics first he was a lawyer and became the head of the Philippines from 1966 to 1986and established an authoritarian regime in the Philippines that came under criticism for corruption and for its suppression of democratic processes. During the oppression in 1980’s he was interviewed and on why he came to the point that he wanted to pursue still Martial Law even his people did not want it and won’t agree upon it. He answered them telling that he just want to change Philippines for it’s best. He believed that by trying to control first the people he would not have a hard time managing and growing the economic aspect of the Philippines. “Choose Philippines”, is one of his intention that’s why he wanted the Filipino back then to follow him. But controlling his people is not a good thing. There came chivalry in each person who revolt against in his dictatorship. With this occurrence Filipinos just prove that we are one nation and united in fighting in what we believed and what is right. So rise Noypi.
