Men’s Basketball Black & Gold Scrimmage Set For October 17

Get your first glimpse of the 2023-24 Panthers in action

MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee men's basketball fans will have an opportunity to get their first look at the 2023-24 squad under the direction of second-year head coach Bart Lundy when it hosts the Black & Gold Scrimmage Tuesday, October 17 at 7 p.m. at the Klotsche Center.  
 
Doors will open at 6:45 p.m. for team warm-ups and admission is free to the public. On that day, the University is also celebrating Pounce's "Sweet 16 Birthday" (with an event at the Union from 5-7 p.m.) and the party will continue at the basketball scrimmage. There will be free food for UWM students at the scrimmage and fans will have a chance to win one of the new Pounce bobbleheads that are being unveiled on October 17 by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum.
 
The basketball scrimmage event will begin at 7 p.m. and include opening comments and player introductions from Coach Lundy in addition to a slam dunk show that will be followed by the Black & Gold scrimmage. The team will sign autographs and take photos with fans following the scrimmage.
 
The new campaign tips off soon, with the season opener scheduled for November 6, hosting Stout at 7 p.m. at the Klotsche Center.
