- Organisers of Rave The Planet Parade in Berlin are confident that it will go ahead this weekend. The event was in doubt after medical provider Malteser Sanitätsdienst pulled out earlier this week, but a new company has been found, co-organiser Timm Zeiss confirmed to rbb. This has come at considerable financial expense—a GoFundMe has been launched to help cover some of the costs. The only other potential stumbling block concerns the number of attendees and the potential strain this could have on emergency services. If there is significantly more than the predicted 300,000 people, the police has the power to cancel the parade with immediate effect. A new incarnation of the iconic Love Parade, Rave The Planet debuted last summer, with more than 200,000 people in attendance. The second edition is set take place tomorrow, July 8th.
