General Electric (NYSE:GE) said today its renewables division GE Renewable Energy will supply and install 53 MW of wind turbines for Saudi Arabia’s Alfanar Group in Spain.

The manufacturer will deliver 15 units of its GE 3.X-4.0 MW turbines, which will be used to form a cluster of wind farms near the towns of Miranda de Arga and Berbinzana is Spain's Navarre region.

The project is scheduled to be finalised in 2023.

The turbine supply contract comes with a 15-year full-service agreement.

The latest contract marks the second partnership between GE Renewable Energy and Alfanar in Spain. Previously, the turbine maker equipped Alfanar's Soliedra wind farm in Castile and Leon with six machines, GE said.

At present, there are close to 5 GW of GE turbines installed in Spain.
