The property is set in the stunning rural countryside with views all around. Built around 120 years ago the cortijo offers charm and warmth with whitewashed walls, wooden beams, Andalusian tiles and 2 wood burners for warm cosy winter nights. A relaxing break for families and friends in a beautiful location with peace and tranquility. Cortijo Tranquilo is fully equipped with all furniture and fittings you should need for your stay. There is 3 comfortable double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms fully equipped, one has a bath with over head shower and the other a walk in shower. The kitchen has a fridge freezer, oven and hob, coffee machine, kettle and all the utensils you will need for your stay.
I have lived in Almeria with my wife Cheryl and our 3 sons for over 4 years. We love the peace and tranquility of the countryside, growing vegetables and tending to our fruit orchard and many trees we have at home. Cortijo tranquilo was previously our home and hope you will enjoy your stay as much as we enjoyed living there. We will be in contact with you for any questions or queries you may have on your stay.
Cortijo Tranquilo is situated in a small Hamlet yet only 25 minutes from Arboleas and 30 minutes to Albanchez. There is the Colorados bar within a 15 minutes drive (approx 3.5km) and the shops, bars, chemist etc are in Arboleas. The larger supermarkets are within 30 minutes at the larger town of Albox. Albanchez, Arboleas and Albox all have outdoor swimming pools which are open in the summer months along with padel courts. The area is tranquill and scenic with fantastic walks and cycling. You can also enjoy stunning drives in the car high up in the mountains. The coast at Mojacar or San Juan de los Terreros can be reached in around 1 hour A car is essential for the area as public transport is not available. (The last 200 metres to the property is dirt track) before this is a concrete road and a small part is a rambla. Mountain bike or road bike enthusiasts will love the terrain on offer from rugged ramblas to winding mountain roads. Walking is a great way to explore and many walks can lead to amazing spots, untouched by the tourist trail. Please note the mobile signal is very limited in the area. You may have none in some areas. The house does not have a signal most of the time.
