Latin music’s biggest urban duo received two Latin GRAMMY nominations it was announced this morning during a press conference in Los Angeles. Wisin & Yandel received a nomination for Best Urban Music Album for Los Vaqueros…El Regreso and a Best Urban Song nomination for “Estoy Enamorado.” The 12th Annual Latin Grammy Awards ceremony will take place in Las Vegas on November 10th.

This has been a great year for the Puerto Rican duo, last week Wisin & Yandel had their 18th single hit the top ten on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart where they lead all duos with most career top tens. Their recent album “Los Vaqueros…El Regreso” debuted at number one on Billboards “Top Latin Albums” chart and was also number one on iTunes. Since its release the album has achieved multi-platinum and gold sales in numerous countries.

This summer Wisin & Yandel took their critically acclaimed tour to sold out stadiums and arena concerts around the world. They recently performed in front of a capacity crowd at New York’s famous Summerstage in Central Park. Doritos also announced that Wisin & Yandel will be featured on Doritos bags throughout Puerto Rico, making them the first Latin artist to collaborate with the brand. The Puerto Rican duo also received a VMA for “Best Latino Artist” given by Tr3’s: MTV, Musica y Mas in honor of the MTV VMA’s 2011, once again confirming that the group is the leader not just of the urban music genre but Latin music overall. The duo has surpassed 10 million fans on Facebook, making them largest followed Latin group on Facebook.

The dynamic duo is currently preparing to perform in Dominican Republic in a concert that promises to make history. Wisin & Yandel will co-headline a concert with Ricky Martin on November 10th at the Felix Sanchez Olympic Stadium.
