Who is playing who in the Rugby World Cup semi-finals? When do England play? When does the final take place? We look over all you need to know as the tournament in France enters its final stages and the trophy is now in sight. Just four matches remain, with Ireland, Wales and hosts France among those countries who went out at the quarter-final stage.

The 2023 Rugby World Cup is nearing its conclusion with just the semi-finals, third-place match, and final to come.
Ireland, Wales, France and Fiji all saw their hopes of lifting the trophy ended at the quarter-final stage.

Who has qualified for the Rugby World Cup semi-finals?

New Zealand put up a superb display to break the hearts of Ireland and claim a 28-24 win.
The All Blacks will face Argentina in the semi-finals following their 29-17 win over Wales.
England held off a fightback from Fiji to prevail 30-24 and will face defending champions South Africa for a place in the final.
South Africa continued the defence of their trophy with a thrilling victory over hosts France in the last eight.
England and South Africa met in the 2019 and 2007 finals, with the Springboks winning on both occasions.

  • Argentina v New Zealand - 20:00, Paris

Mark Telea's return is one of two changes for New Zealand ahead of the match, and he replaces Leicester Fainga'anuku in the starting XV.
Elsewhere, Sam Whitelock replaces Brodie Retallick in the second row to join Crusaders' team-mate Scott Barrett.
For Argentina, Gonzalo Bertranou comes in for Tomas Cubelli at scrum-half.

Steve Borthwick has made three changes for the match, with Joe Marler, Freddie Steward and George Martin introduced into the starting XV. They replace Ellis Genge, Marcus Smith and Ollie Chessum.
Meanwhile, South African head coach Jacques Nienaber will name an unchanged side for the match, that sees half-backs Cobus Reinach and Manie Libbok retain their places from the quarter-final win over France.
