Victor Fonseca, an associate at Brazil’s TozziniFreire Advogados, was working on startup matters four years ago when the firm’s CEO, Fernando Serec, asked him to contribute ideas for innovation.

The full-service law firm, one of Brazil’s largest, had begun with a back-office digital transformation but was now looking outward toward ways to deploy technology to improve delivery of its legal services. Along the way, it embraced legal design (which it calls visual law) to help clients digest information in a more clear, objective way.
