Each year Australians use 1.84 billion single-use cups. Our Plastic Free Places programme is helping to reduce this huge figure. So far they have eliminated 28,768,385 items of plastic. Today we’re shining the spotlight on one of their members Hanks Corner Cafe in North Perth. They are paving the way to a more sustainable future by creating a culture of reusable cups in their business operations. Food waste is responsible for 3.3 gigatonnes of greenhouse gases produced each year, so collecting unsold produce helps to reduce this waste!
