What can be more fascinating than getting to travel to different destinations as a part of a work trip and exploring all the corners of the globe? 🌍 This includes attending professional conferences such as Laracon EU in the wonderful weather of the Netherlands on the 5th and 6th of February. 📅   Here are a few things I've figured out till now while attending international conferences- ▪ Plan to minimize the impact of jet lag so you can learn and enjoy from day one. ▪ Meet different professionals from diverse backgrounds and gain insights into different cultures. ▪ Maximize your conference experience by actively participating in sessions, networking, and learning about new technologies and trends. ▪ Remember, you're representing your country so be vocal in a manner that displays the actual culture, rather than stereotypes.  ▪ Go out in the local areas outside your conference venue and understand the difference in cultures. Cooperation is the key to success, whilst working with local SMEs one needs to be mindful of the wider perspective. As Visit Finland mentions in their research report from 2023 “An increase in the attraction of the entire (Nordic) region is likely to benefit everyone”. The Light in the Dark project is breaking out of the Nordics and connecting to the Baltics to create new common product concepts.
