Today, I’m celebrating 🥳 not just another year around the sun 🌞, but an epiphany that struck me like a bolt of lightning ⚡ during my dawn reflection. You see, I've long held titles and positions as the yardstick to my success. Even felt a stab of failure when others, whom I mentored, climbed past me on the corporate ladder. But then, clarity washed over me 🌊. I've taken risks. Made tough calls 📞. All in pursuit of knowledge, growth, and the wellbeing of my family. My corporate title may not be impressive on paper 📃, but there are three I hold with immense pride – Mother, Wife, and an outright decent human being 👼. Ultimately, when my sun sets 🌅, it won't be the corporate title that I'll reminisce, but the laughter, tears, triumphs, and struggles of being a caring Wife, a nurturing Mother, and a good-hearted Human. It`s Pride Month… just a quick reminder for those who still don`t know .... But how can you miss that, right? So many colorful company logos and shared Pride videos and people stories... But when June ends, Pride Month is over. And so many companies will stop their "engagement" on this topic…   For me (not just as Talent Acquisition Partner), all matters around Pride Movement should be always in people`s minds. And it should be also in people`s minds, that it`s just human to live with unconscious bias. Yes, you are also "one of these"!!! This statement shocks you?   Maybe you`re already fighting against it. But maybe you still think, you don`t have unconscious bias within your mindset. Come over it! You have!!! Live with it. Work with it. To win your own inner fight against unconscious biases, you need to be aware of them, mindful and self-confident every day. Why self-confident? If you`re not, you`ll take differences of others (in contrast to you) as THEIR weakness. But it`s actually YOUR weakness! Because you`ll just be surrounded by people like you, and you`ll never grow.   Differences make us strong. Diversity is what makes us unique. And uniqueness is what lasts longest.   Keep these 2 things and you`ll feel happier, for sure: Variety is what makes us special!
