Presenting Author: Farhan Mehboob, ASHRAE Region at Large The Region at Large (RAL) Chapter Regional Conference (CRC) took place at the ASHRAE Global Summit, in Istanbul in 2022. Decarbonization emerged as a central theme at this conference co-located with the International HVACR Summit. Solutions crowd voting software generated real-time guidance, which converged on the problem of a lack of international coordination of technical solutions. The presentation will describe the current situation in Pakistan and nearby markets where innovative building engineering projects are developed in an ecosystem without established codes or legal technical standards. Historically rapid building development must still be somehow guided in an environmentally sustainable direction

A new study in Ocean Sustainability co-authored by WWF's Global Oceans Lead Scientist, Nathan Bennett, provides guidelines on how to develop climate-smart ocean plans and put them into action.
