Everybody is still trying to figure out what on earth happened to Jayson Tatum against the Charlotte Hornets last night. As the Boston Celtics went to overtime, Tatum was the one who had the chance to win the second consecutive game for his team and he basically choked. In fact, there are many who think the Celtics lost in a demoralizing fashion against a team that was coming from losing four straight games by an average of somewhere in the neighbourhood of 17 points. Boston was supposed to win this game easily but Tatum's choking moment prevented that from happening. And you know how ruthless Celtics fans can be against their own players.

What happened to Jayson Tatum exactly?

During overtime, the Boston Celtics had a chance to tie the game at 119 after the star was fouled by Gordon Hayward. When this happened, Tatum was attempting a three pointer. This gave hin a chance to shoot three free throws, from which he scored the first two. On his third attempt, Jayson Tatum shot the ball in-and-out giving the Hornets a defensive board thanks to Miles Bridges. After that, the Hornets won the game with a couple of free throws from Hayward. During that time, you could hear the Hornets fans making fun of Tatum's 'choke job'. But the most ruthless fans were his own, they trolled him incessantly online.

What probably made Tatum more angry was the fact that he got an incredible statline for this game and his team still lost because of him. At the end, he scored 45 points, got 13 rebounds, and six assists. In any other night, Tatum would've been lauded for his effort but he was reminded of a quote he threw around when he played the Summer League against the Charlotte Hornets. When he said that last summer, he was attemptimg to throw shade at the Hornets and karma got him last night. Take a look at what he said, just to chuckle for a bit.
