The national forecaster is warning of "very disturbed weather" as Hurricane Helene makes its way towards Ireland.

Even if it does weaken, it is still expected to bring high winds and rainy weather to Dublin early next week.

A scary graph of the storm shows it heading straight for these shores.

Met Eireann are warning that there will be some horrid weather next Monday with a degree of uncertainty for the following days.

A forecaster said: "There is a lot of uncertainty in the details for early next week but indications are for very disturbed weather.

"Mild, very humid conditions are expected to develop during Monday, with rain moving up from the south in freshening southerly winds.
