Patriots acquire DeVante Parker from Dolphins for draft picks

The New England Patriots have traded for receiver DeVante Parker and a 2023 fifth-round pick from the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a third-round fifth-round pick, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports.

Parker joins the Patriots after the Dolphins acquired for Tyreek Hill from the Kansas City Chiefs. Miami now has two first-round picks, a second-round pick and two third-round picks heading into the 2023 draft.

In 10 games last season, Parker recorded 40 catches for 515 yards and two touchdowns and has two years remaining on his contract where he will earn $5.6 million in 2022 and $5.7 million in 2023. New England is expecting to receive a third-round pick in 2023 as compensation for cornerback J.C. Jackson signed with the Los Angeles Chargers.
