Two reps arrested for supplying cocaine to British clubbers in Magaluf after cops seize £250k drugs stash
Ryan Fleming, 25, and Fabio Delgado, 26, were two of six accused to be part of the drug ring
TWO British reps have been arrested on suspicion of supplying cocaine to clubbers in Magaluf after Spanish cops smashed an alleged drug-trafficking ring.
Ryan Fleming, 25, and Fabio Delgado, 26, had been working in Mallorca for five years but were arrested after cops seized £250,000 worth of cocaine in a raid.
Police launched an undercover op after discovering a smuggling network bringing cocaine from Columbia to mainland Spain and then on to Majorca hidden on yachts.
At least six people have been arrested including Fleming, of North Shields, North Tyneside, and Delgado, of Bournemouth.
But Fleming's father has since spoken out, saying his son was "squeaky clean".
But Fleming's shocked dad Andrew, 53, said: "Ryan sells tickets for the booze cruises, we don't believe for a second he's involved in drugs.
"I haven't been able to speak to him and have very little information about his arrest, but we know he hasn't been charged with anything.
"I have been told he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and it was the apartment above his where drugs were found.
"The other lad Delgado is his friend and also works out there. They are both squeaky clean."
Spanish cops launched Operation Daju in March after uncovering a huge drugs operation set up to flood the party island with cocaine.
A gang was believed to have been buying huge amounts of the Class A drug from suppliers in Spain’s north-west region of Galicia, traditionally the main European entry point for Colombian cocaine.
The drugs were then smuggled to Majorca hidden in motorboats and yachts and stored at safe houses before being sold to young holidaymakers in Magaluf.
Cops pounced after tracking a Spanish dealer who was transporting two kilos of cocaine from Palma to Magaluf in a taxi.
A series of raids followed and Delgado and Fleming were held at an apartment block in Magaluf where more than two kilos of cocaine were allegedly found.
