This is a high-precision model assembly kit of the Ford GT! Specifically, this version represents the second-generation iteration which was unveiled at the 2015 North American International Auto Show. Specifically, FORD wanted to beat Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and it did with the FORD GT40! The victory was not just a fluke. Ford beat Ferrari for the next 3 consecutive years. The first-generation FORD GT was a retro styled street car that mimicked the legendary GT40 race car. The second-generation Ford GT is the opposite. It is a race car that is made to pass street legal laws.The second-generation Ford GT car went into production in 2016 as it marked 50 years since the legendary GT40 won the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans. In that same year it competed successfully in the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans as it won the LMGTE Pro class.
