This may be an old mold or I just received an old kit. Typical Tamiya kits have great detail and great fitment. When I opened the box several of the parts were off the sprue. I just figured it was due to shipping. But building the kit has been the most frustrating to deal with. The frame didn’t fit together well and the cowlings don’t fit well together either. A lot of body putty and filling to do before paint. Once everything is put together, the kit is beautiful. But, by far, the worse Tamiya kit I have done. There was a lot of flashing and mold lines to deal with, much more than normal Tamiya. But it’s still Tamiya and still much better than other kits by other manufacturers I have dealt with in the past. If you like building bikes this is challenging but looks great when completed.

On the whole, a good kit. Easy to follow. I'd say some bike knowledge is required to make the assembly task easier. The bodywork quality of this kit is not as good as a previous Tamiya purchase, doesn't quite meet up where it should which makes putting together difficult but for the price, you can't grumble! Great beginner to modelling

Another fine example from Tamiya - part of their range of Motorcycles that sadly appears to have become limited recently with very few new models. Quality of their kits remain high as do there detailing parts and paints. In need of new models with some urgency, else Europe will overtake Japan.
