3 de mayo de 2023I usually use Strathmore 18" x 24" sketch pads for a figure drawing course but thought to try Canson. I've used other Canson products and find the quality respectable, decent enough for student work. I thought the 18" x 24" Canson sketch pad good value for the price since it yields 100 sheets. But the first time I pulled out the pad in my class, the entire block of paper dropped out from between the covers. The glue must be very weak for that to happen with a brand new product. Blick was terrific about handling this problem, thankfully. Offered to either replace or refund immediately. I opted for the refund as I will buy my usual 18" x 24" Strathmore pads since I know for sure they won't suffer this problem. The Strathmore pads have a wire binding holding all the paper together.
Wouldn't buy the 9x12 PAD VERSION.

11 de septiembre de 2020I made the mistake of ordering the 9x12 pad version even though the sale picture showed a spiral bound version. After receiving the pads I understand why they are on sale. For starters the card board back does not align with the sketch paper so there is a small section hanging off. The glue that "holds" the sketchbook together is weak. I have no idea what glue Canson used for their pads but they need to upgrade it. I was lightly flipping through the pages and the whole thing fell apart! This happened to BOTH OF THE SKETCHBOOKS. I had to gorilla glue the whole thing back together and I'm still not sure it's going to stay together. Honestly these guys need to talk to Strathmore(?) and get whatever glue they use for their pad sketchbooks.
Paper feels kind of thin as well. The description wasn't kidding when it said it's for "quick sketches and drawing". Might give the pads to my neice and nephew to draw on.
If you must order this sketchbook do not get the pad version and order the spiral version. Unless your just going to use the pad for scratch paper then buy at your own risk.
I would never buy this product again

23 de enero de 2023Very cheap sketchbooks. Every one of the sketchbooks I received had the sketchbook paper falling out of them. The glue they use does not keep the paper in the sketchbook. These fold over sketchbooks are just not made for student use. They were falling apart just taking them out of the box, and that is before the students were even ready to use them. I returned each one of the sketchbooks and ordered wire bound.
