The Shores of Cedar Point is owned and operated by Kelly O’Toole, who purchased and remodeled the property in 2019-2020. Particular detail was paid to bringing the house and barn back to life and purpose. Her vision was to use the waterfront, the repurposed wood, the natural light, sunsets, sound, and color to provide a perfect backdrop to any event.

Our commitment to simple pleasures, organic beauty, and warm professionalism upholds this vision and makes this one of the area’s most desired venues.

We strive to offer the ideal setting for weddings or private events in complete privacy. A picturesque river, working farmland, luxury home, and equestrian facilities are all available for use on our 81-acre farm.

Our venue is located just west of the town of Mathews, Virginia on the majestic North River off of Mobjack Bay. We are conveniently located within driving distance from Williamsburg, Richmond, and Washington D.C., making The Shores of Cedar Point the perfect destination for your wedding Venue or private event.

  • 1930s estate home overlooking the Pergola site.
  • Includes two bedrooms for bride’s use, overlooking pergola and grounds.

  • Use of alternative covered lit site for inclement weather.

  • 12×36 foot dance floor.
  • Cement floors with sliding doors with a total 90×36 foot barn space.
  • Use of prep kitchen for warming and refrigerating food brought in by your caterer.
  • Ice maker and 100 pounds of ice.
  • Separate area for your DJ.
  • Ample parking.
